We’re incredibly proud to share that Stoke Orchard Youth FC has been formally recognised in the Houses of Parliament!
Cameron Thomas MP has tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM) celebrating the club’s work, our inclusive ethos, our volunteers, and the positive impact we’re making for over 120 children in our community.
For a grassroots youth football club, this is a rare honour, and something everyone connected to the club should feel proud of.
What is an EDM?
An Early Day Motion is an official statement submitted in the House of Commons. It doesn’t create new laws, but it does place our Club into the permanent parliamentary record. EDMs are used to highlight achievements, recognise community impact, and draw national attention to important local work.
This recognition shows that what we’re building together, players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and supporters, truly matters.
It acknowledges:
• Our inclusive football for children of all abilities
• Our rapid growth and community demand
• Our fundraising for the 4Ed Campaign
• Ezra’s legacy and the values our club stands for
We want to thank every player, family, volunteer, and supporter who has helped make this possible. This achievement belongs to all of you.
Stoke Orchard Youth FC — proud to be recognised in Parliament, rooted in our community, and growing stronger every day
