We love Father Christmas coming to the village!

In Twyning's heart, where Father Christmas and his elves take flight,
They await an amazing day full of festive delight.
At 9:30, they visit Tewkesbury Fields with love and care,
Spreading joy and happiness, lifting old hearts everywhere.

Between 10:00 & midday, they're at Morrisons on their charitable quest,
Gathering gifts for the Foodbank, giving their best.
With jingle bells and merry cheer, they'll bring unity,
Brightening the day for all of the community

At 11:00, music fills the Cotswold Designer Outlet, air so sweet,
Two Young to Know, Too old to Care, set the beat.
With Christmas melodies, their notes will dance and play,
The Christmas shoppers will have joy, sung their way.

Meanwhile, Father Christmas has a grotto in sight,
At the Fleet Inn, from 1:30 to 5, he'll ignite delight.
Children gather round with eyes full of awe,
To whisper their wishes, with smiles galore.

As the evening draws near, the sleigh will be ready to go,
Through Twyning, Church End and Ripple, it will glow.
From 5:00 to 7:30, it tours near and far,
Leaving trails of enchantment under every star.

So join in the jolly, the laughter, and festive cheer,
For the Twyning Santa Sleigh Event, is the highlight of the year!

Epic Northern Road Trip for Glos O45s! 🚗💪🎾

The Glos Over-45s hit the road this weekend for a true test of grit and determination — travelling first to Lancashire on Saturday, then on to Durham & Cleveland on Sunday!

Saturday saw a nail-biter against Lancashire, with Glos narrowly edged out 3-2. It was one of those matches that could've gone either way!

With the pressure on and relegation looming, Sunday brought out the Glos grind in full force. The team battled hard to claim a 5-0 win over Durham & Cleveland — a scoreline that doesn't reflect the true intensity of the contest.

🔹 Huge shoutout to Guy Wooddisse – our chief transport executive (aka driver!) and undefeated hero of the weekend. Absolute legend.

🔒 That 5-0 win seals our place in Division 2 for another season – job done!
