Royal Cornwall Show 2026

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get to the show in time for the classes this year and after I finally got down to Cornwall on the Friday evening, the last day was cancelled due to the high winds and stormy weather!

Thank you to Dad for taking the team down and to both him and Sue Lake for showing them for me. Special mention to Adrian Lake too.

Very happy to hear they received:

Breed Champion - shearling ewe
Reserve Breed Champion - ram lamb.

The ram lamb going on to receive fourth in the Interbreed Ram Lamb Class – highest placed lamb in the non MV side😊

The Royal Bath & West Show 2026 didn’t disappoint, great fun from start to finish with some great entertainment

Thank you to Steve and Rachel Stamp (Bowbridge Farm Livestock) and all the sheep stewards for a fantastic, well organised, sheep section.

Thank you to our judge, Doreen Smillie Gray, and steward Sue Lake for taking on both the Ryeland and Coloured Ryeland classes.

Sherborne Show 2026 was a toasty one but with gazebos up at 7.30 the ground was cool and the sheep were happy in the breeze. Fantastic that ring time was kept to a minimum with the stewards and judges doing a fab job keeping everyone moving 👏 thank you.

The hard work of friends and neighbours, Bella and Elsie, was rewarded in the Young Handler class with a superb second and a fantastic fourth 🎉. They are always willing to help here and have put in the time helping with halter training. Really proud of them.

Oh and Showteam B team did really well too!!

Show season 2026 got off to a great start with Devon County Show this week. Fantastic to see the classes well supported...

Show season 2026 got off to a great start with Devon County Show this week. Fantastic to see the classes well supported by South West members, weather and company was spot on. Really happy with my aged ram Windsor Excellence being awarded Breed Champion and my shearling ewe Windsor Frances taking Reserve😊

Capland (Disco) Dave was Male Ryeland Champion and Reserve Ryeland Breed Champion. Congratulations to the Wear family for Champion.

Thank you to John Donovan for judging both the Ryeland and Coloured Ryeland classes.
