FREE FOOTBALL EVERY SATURDAY AT REDCAR TOWN FC
We run 3 sessions alongside each other every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am.

First Kicks for Nursery and Reception.
Little Legends for School Years 1, 2 & 3.
Foundation Football for School Years 4, 5 & 6.

It's all about fun, but for those who want to progress to the next level, this is the entry point to join one of our TJFA teams.

There is also Tea, Coffee, cold drinks, pastries, and sausage sandwiches available in our Cafe while you wait for your child.

Not my usual post but one that means a lot.

Coaching can often be a lonely place, on your own the majority of the time, planning sessions, out in all weathers, winter training, waiting for astros to be be free, expected to be there every session even when players are injured and not there themselves, identifying improvements.

But sometimes the football world gives back, and you reap what you sow.

Now the dust has settled, I can take it in.

7 games in 16 days, unheard of.

What the boys Redcar Town Men's 1st Team have given back this year is nothing short of remarkable and proud to be part of this team.

Historic moment for the club with so many amazing volunteers.

Hard work pays off 🙌🏻

The support we’ve received has been nothing short of phenomenal 👏🏻

To finish the week we had Mr Friday night himself Robbo also known as RobboRocket™️.

Having been an ever present (when weather allowed it) we have started to layer up and sharpen up on technical elements to his game.

We worked on body shape, disguise and exploiting space 1v1 through a series of tailored dribbling drills, identifying sweet spot either side of the defender, the timing of trigger touches to attack green spaces.

And it wouldn’t be Friday without finishing with some high intensity shooting drills 🚀

Friday saw the return of the double act and little legends George & Joe as they attended their weekly slot.

We got to work in the sun with a dynamic warm up featuring side steps, reverse jockey, explosive movements and game realistic footwork.

We turned our attention to ball work, focussing on technical dribbling, speed, trigger touch and timing to change direction through drills designed to increase speed with the ball at our feet.

We finished with shooting from different angles and set a scoring streak challenge.

This weeks round up starting Tuesday with flying winger Logan.

Having worked through an SAQ circuit for a dynamic warm up we got onto the ball work, focusing on technical dribbling, ball mastery, changing direction at speed with the ball and striking accuracy 🎯

Friday’s second session was with Friday stalwart Robbo.

As always his receptiveness to learn was not only tangible but contagious.

We went through SAQ, layered up ball manipulation, dribbling and attacking 1 v 1.

As well as the obligatory Robbo Rockets.
