The winners from tonight’s Tayside cup played at Scotscraig. Congratulations to Strathmiglo winning both the league and the knockout cup. Commiserations to the Duffus Park A team. With the continuation of Monday night's games at Kettle, the full semi final draw is now complete. Strathmiglo at home to Scotscraig Sharks and Duffus Park A at home to Newburgh. Ties due to be played on Monday 24 August. Good luck to all.

What a miserable night for bowling! Anyway 3 out of the 4 ties have produced a result and the Kettle/Ladybank v Duffus Park A team are planning to complete their game asap to finalise the semi finals. Details are shown and will be updated with final result in due course. Well done to all concerned so far. Thanks as usual for getting me the results. With this being the first time we appear to have had a weather interruption to play in this format of competition, perhaps we need to amend the rules in future to cover such issues - an item for AGM agenda I suspect.

The Men's Tayside Cup resumes tonight with Strathmiglo welcoming St Andrews, Scotscraig Sharks welcoming Cupar Cobra, Kettle/Ladybank welcoming Duffus Park A and Muchty Mavericks at home to Newburgh. Games due to start at 6.30pm. Hopefully the weather will be kind enough for games to go ahead. Overall score will determine the winners and please remember to message the results to Graham (07825704901). Good luck to all teams.

Now that our League business is completed for 2026, we can now look forward to our Knockout Cup competition. The first games are due to be played on 3 August, then a break during the BS championships with the next games being played on 17 August. First named team are the home team and I have highlighted the venues from our hybrid teams. As usual, good luck to all teams, and please advise the results of all games. (Graham 07825704901)

Thanks to Strathmiglo for hosting the League play off tonight. After 15 ends the winners were St Andrews who will remain in league 1 next year. Hard lines to the Auchtermuchty Boars. After the game league President Chris Mackie presented the league 2 up to George Sharpe representing Duffus Park A team. He then presented Steve Cormack representing Strathmiglo with the league 1 cup and league flag. Strathmiglo kindly organised a buffet which was enjoyed by all. Thanks again to players and spectators who made the evening a success. Here’s to next year’s leagues and don’t forget our Tayside KO cup will start shortly

Just a reminder that the Men’sTayside League play off between St Andrews and Auchtermuchty Boars will be played at Strathmiglo tomorrow night (Friday) from 6.30pm. The presentation of the 2 league winners, Duffus Park A and Strathmiglo, will follow the game. Spectators more than welcome to come along.

Week 10 and all results in before 10.00pm - Brilliant! Thanks to all of you who have messaged me results every week, and also to those I have chased up to get results. Anyway, congratulations to Strathmiglo on retaining the League flag for another year. Runners up were Auchtermuchty Mavericks. Well done to Duffus Park A team on winning League 2. So, for the play off to decide which team remains/or moves we will have a game next Friday at Strathmiglo at 6.30pm between St Andrews and Auchtermuchty Boars. This will be the usual 15 end game. I will discuss with Strathmiglo and Duffus Park A, regarding the presentation and a challenge game at same time.
Another successful season and hopefully you have all enjoyed your games, had good games, enjoyed the company and above all enjoyed your bowls. We will do it all again next year.
