First outdoor competition of the season … glorious sunshine one minute☀️,then Storm Dave the next!!!! ⛈️

💙Foundation Racing we joined Trigger Happy Flyball Team – amazing experience for Ozzie and Koda. Well done to Trigger’s new box loader.

🩵Out of the Blue in Division 5 came very close to their indoor times and Blue Sky loved the tight racing in Division 1 💙

New box tested (thoroughly 🤣 thanks Andrew Short for the super glue!).
Fury ran her first open and grew in confidence and speed. 💪
Laura completed more of her judging log book ✅
Louie gained his Flyball Graduate certificate minus the photo - damaged in storm Dave! 💨
Lily earned her first young members points and survived her 1st camping trip 🫣even though her tent didn't through storm Dave! And baby Hallie (11 weeks!) had her first camping adventure with supermum Emma❤️

Huge thank you to Yorkshire Bouncers Flyball Team for hosting, all the teams we raced and everyone working hard behind the scenes.
Definitely a weekend we won't forget in a hurry.

We reckon it’s about time we told you what we've been up to over winter! 🩵💙🩵

It's been a busy few months for the team, and we're excited to share some updates.

Thanks to Only Fools and Pooches indoor venue we've been able to keep training right through the winter, no matter the weather. This weekend marks our first training session back outdoors as hopefully the dryer weather continues.

Crufts was a real highlight for us this year. With Loki taking part in the Young Kennel Club flyball and supporting the Kids Around Dogs stand. Plus a huge well done to Fen, who gained an impressive 3rd place in Post Graduate, fantastic achievement.
We caught up with our amazing sponsors Oralade and we're excited to test their new Oralade Active+ range, which now comes in great new flavours.

Behind the scenes we have a new Team Captain Sally and new Team Members Amy and Andy, plus Emma welcomed a very gorgeous baby Hallie. Dave A has taken on the role of BFA lights coordinator. Laura passed her judges exam and is now completing her log book.
We purchased a new box and we're really pleased with how smoothly the dogs have transitioned onto it.

As for team dogs we have some new exciting line ups and a few milestones to announce:
Penny has taken a well earned retirement.
We've welcomed new puppies Olive, Kai and Xena who have all started their foundation training. Olive smashed her 1st ring time slot.
Loki gained his BFA Gold
Hope earned her BFA Flyball Dog Advanced
Louie achieved his BFA Flyball Dog Graduate
Bea gained her BFA Flyball Dog Advanced
And Amber our Young Member gained her BFA Opal Award.

We are incredibly proud of every dog and handler. Here's to a new season of training, competitions and achievements as we head into spring.

Tomorrow one of our own dogs Loki will be strutting his stuff on the green carpet at Crufts with Sienna and the YKC team Spacedogs 👽

Loki is 7 and belongs to our team captain Sally, and while he once refused to fetch a ball, he learned flyball his own way — with cooked chicken and a clam.

He’s usually run by our Young Member Samuel but has been handled by many Blue Sky teammates. He even played stooge dog at the last outdoor champs, letting BFA young members bandage him up like a superstar patient.

Out of the lanes, Loki is a total cuddlebug who loves to lounge around. In the ring, though, he turns into a powerful handful who keeps everyone on their toes. Sienna has worked incredibly hard to hold onto him and master those starts, and it really shows.
