So today is our presentation day down at Tansley Fete Fields ⚽️! A time for the club and teams to come together and celebrate the achievements we have had over the course of year. We hope everyone has an amazing day but before the celebrations begin it is worth remembering that none of this would happen without the people who step up to make it happen.

People often think that coaching is turning up and ‘putting a few cones out’ but it is so much more than that. The sessions and the matches are just the tip of the iceberg. The majority of the work is never seen.

So let’s just take a moment to appreciate those who have worked all year round to keep Tansley Juniors Football Club running and thriving. It truly is a team effort. From those that mark the line, to the coaches turning up in all weathers, to the people taking care of the paperwork and and the parents stepping up to say ‘I can help with that’. None of this would happen without you! So thank-you all for what you bring to make our club the wonderful community that it is!

But every child deserves a coach who believes in them.

Sometimes a few encouraging words can keep a player going for another week, another season, or even a lifetime.

The best coaches don't just develop footballers.

They develop confidence.

And that matters far beyond the pitch.
