TWL wants to give a huge shout out to Josh!

Josh is an amazing and inspiring young man, he is known for his outstanding fundraising and has won several awards for his work in the community

Josh was recently interviewed on the breakfast show to discuss working, LinkedIn, his Geordie friends, fishing, horse riding, inclusive football, holidays, Newcastle United.

Josh is introduced 56minutes into the show and it as great segment.

Josh was one of our first players to join All Play FC and has also qualified with his DBS and safeguarding to help support during our sessions ⚽️⚽️

👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 WE’VE GOT SOME EXCITING NEWS! 💜⚽️

We know we’ve been a little quiet on our socials recently… but don’t worry, AllPlay FC hasn’t gone anywhere! 😁

While you’ve not seen much happening online, things have been VERY busy behind the scenes! Our football sessions have continued, our players have continued to have fun, and we’ve been working hard on lots of exciting things for the future.

And now we can finally share it…

💜 AllPlay FC is now a community football project under Thrive Without Limits CIC! 💜

So, what does this mean?

⚽ We still play football
🙌 We still have fun
💪 We still develop our football skills
🤝 We still build confidence and social skills
💜 We still provide a supportive, inclusive environment where EVERY player belongs

But now we have the opportunity to grow beyond football and create even more opportunities for young people of all abilities.

AllPlay FC was always about more than just kicking a football. It’s about friendships, confidence, independence, having fun and giving young people a place where they can be themselves without pressure. ❤️

Being part of Thrive Without Limits CIC means we can build on that vision and hopefully bring even more exciting opportunities to our players and families.

This is just the beginning… 👀💜

HEAT STROKE CAN COME ON FAST .

Please share to make aware .

Anyone can suffer heat stroke .
It is a medical emergency , and we are heading into to conditions that can see even the fittest of people succumb to it .

Keep an eye out for heat exhaustion.
This the precursor to heat stroke and as long as it is swiftly treated , a full on medical emergency can be prevent .

Symptoms of heat exhaustion include .

Darker urine .
Tiredness .
Dizziness .
Headache.
Muscle cramps .
High temperature.
Being very thirsty .
Feeling irritable .

If you or anyone else start showing any of these symptoms,
Cool yourself down immediately , remove unnecessary clothing ,like socks and a jacket .
Apply cold flannels , take a cool shower etc.

Drink fluids , water and an electrolyte drink / sports drink .

Have a sugary / salty snack .

And stay in the shade .

Stay with anyone feeling these symptoms until they feel better .

It should take around 30 mins .
If not call 111 and speak to the nhs for further advice and instructions .

Call 999 if ,

You or someone else have signs of heatstroke .

The symptoms are .

Still being unwell after 30 minutes of resting in a cool place , being cooled and drinking fluids .

A very high temperature.

Hot skin that’s not sweating and might look red ( this is hard to spot on darker skin )

A fast heartbeat.

Fast breathing or shortness of breath .

Confusion and lack of coordination.

A seizure or fit .

Loss of consciousness.

Any of the above . Call 999 and say heatstroke .

DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF TO A & E.

STAY SAFE !
Keep drinking the fluids and keep cool

Please check on your elderly neighbours, relatives and family

It’s been a very sad week to hear of all the children that have had accidents in water 😢

🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please make sure you stay safe and stay away from unregulated, unguarded waters.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family and friends that have lost loved ones this week 💔💔

Good luck to everyone who are taking their GCSE exams.

Do your best, answer every question, even if you are not sure, show your workings out and check check and triple check your answers!

Most importantly breathe….

You’ve got this! We believe in you but you need to believe in yourself!

No matter your results, be proud in you doing your best.

This is a very important time in your life, however, once these are done then they are done and you go on to forge your new path! Life goes in many directions and you may choose a different one to what you might of thought but take it, embrace it and continue to be your unique self!

You got this and we got you!
