Swifts Polesworth Swifts JFC U14’s s Clarets played Ashby Ivanhoe in a close game. Manager Sam "It was a tough game to take today. We played some really good football, created plenty of chances, but just couldn’t find the back of the net.The lads gave everything on the pitch, there’s a lot of positives to take from the performance. The effort, commitment and desire is there. Well done to Eoin, who picked up the SPOTM for his relentless work rate – he never stopped running and gave his all for the team. Henry is MPOTM. He was outstanding at the back, organising the defence and putting in a really strong performance."

A Moment of Silence for Poppy Atkinson

We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of 10-year-old Poppy Atkinson, who was fatally struck by a car during a training session at Kendal Rugby Club in Cumbria.

As a mark of respect, we encourage all our teams to observe a minute’s silence before their games this weekend. This moment of reflection is our way to honour Poppy’s life, celebrate her spirit, and stand in solidarity with her family, friends, and teammates during this incredibly difficult time.

Let’s come together as a club and as a community to pay tribute to Poppy and ensure that her memory lives on.
