Today marks a special milestone as Ruben proudly represented Wales U17s and helped secure a fantastic victory over Scotland. πŸ‡ΌπŸ‡±πŸ‘

To see one of our own progress through the Outlaws age-grade system and go on to wear the Welsh jersey is a tremendous achievement, not only for Ruben and his family but for everyone involved in his rugby league journey.

Everyone at the club is incredibly proud to see Ruben Main named in the Wales U17 starting Squad for this Sunday's Test match against Scotland U17s at Merthyr RFC.

Ruben has been part of our club journey since his junior rugby days, and it's fantastic to see his hard work, commitment, and dedication rewarded with the opportunity to represent Wales on the international stage.

Watching one of our own progress through the ranks and achieve such an honour is a proud moment for everyone involved with the club. Ruben is a great example to all of our young players of what can be achieved through passion, perseverance, and hard work.

Match Report | Rhondda Outlaws 0–32 Bridgend Blue Bulls

The Outlaws suffered a 32-0 defeat to the Bridgend Blue Bulls in a game heavily affected by difficult weather conditions, leading to an error-filled contest from both sides.

The visitors capitalised on the conditions to take a 20-0 lead into half-time, leaving the Outlaws with work to do in the second half.

To their credit, the Outlaws responded with a much-improved performance after the break, showing plenty of fight, commitment and determination. While the result ultimately went the way of the home team, there were plenty of positives and strong individual performances to take from the game especially those from our youngsters.

Rhondda Outlaws RLFC would like to share our sadness after learning of the passing of John Kear

A true gentleman of rugby league, John dedicated so much of his life to the game, inspiring players, coaches and supporters wherever he went. His passion, knowledge and unwavering commitment to rugby league left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to work with him.

As former Wales Rugby League coach, he played a significant role in helping grow and strengthen the international game, earning the respect and admiration of players and fans alike. Beyond the results and achievements, he will be remembered for his warmth, humility and love for the sport.

Our thoughts are with John's family, friends and the wider rugby league community at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, John Kear. Your legacy will live on in the game you served so proudly.

Not the result we wanted, but the lads showed plenty of heart against a strong Aberavon side. We kept battling until the final whistle and will take the lessons forward. In it until half time, but experience showed for Aberavon, massive well done to the lads making their senior debut yesterday
