The Parish Council have inspected the MUGA this morning and it is now clear of water.

The MUGA is therefore open again and the lock should have been removed.

🌳🌱 Join Us for a Greener Ulleskelf! 🌍🌱🌳
Save the date Sunday 17th November!
We’re on a mission to plant 420 trees, and we need YOUR help! 🌱🌳🌎 The Ulleskelf community has been fortunate to be approved for a grant from the Woodland Trust for 420 tree saplings and are looking for volunteers to help to plant these around the edges of the Ulleskelf sportsfield. Hopefully in time they will offer some protection from the wind for those watching the football and the youngsters will hopefully be able to watch their trees grow as they do.

Everyone welcome to come and help, please bring a spade! Sunday 17th November between 1000 - 1300 at Ulleskelf Sports Field, please park considerately in the main car park.
There will be complimentary hot/cold drink & biscuits for those attending (compliments of Ulleskelf Sports & Social).

We are very pleased to report that the long awaited refurbishment work on the pavilion at the sportsfield is to start on Thursday 21 March. Some of the modular buildings and containers are being replaced, so there may be some slight disruption to traffic on Raw Lane as these works are carried out.

Thanks very much to Thomas Fielden, Ulleskelf Parish Council, Ulleskelf Junior Football Club and Ulleskelf Sports and Social Club for their support with progressing this project to make much needed improvements to both the inside and outside of the existing building.

Please be aware that the MUGA will be closed from this Monday 20th until Friday 25th February whilst work is carried out to replace the current halide floodlights with more energy efficient LED ones.

MUGA Repairs and Tennis Nets

Just to confirm the necessary repairs have been carried out to the MUGA, so a temporary closure is not now required. Thanks very much to Gary Burton and Mick Parnaby from the Parish Council for sorting the issues so quickly.

The damaged tennis nets have now been removed. We will be looking at putting in place improved tennis facilities for the 2022 season.

Sadly I have been informed that the tennis nets at the MUGA have been vandalised and are to be removed from court. Plans are currently being sorted to replace the tennis nets with a better system of nets and storage to keep them in better condition and improve the experience for tennis players.

The MUGA is currently being assessed as other damage has been caused and we need to ensure that the MUGA is safe to use. I will keep you updated if any temporary closure is required.

I will be sending out renewal reminders to existing registered members later next week for annual registrations.

Just to let you know that the existing tennis nets have now been put up on court. These will be replaced in due course but due to requests for tennis nets to be put up the old ones are now in place until the new ones arrive. Debra.
