A 270 awning is 100% something you need in your life. We’re able to mount directly to our Escapade 4x4 roof rack as well as basically any other roof rack or roof bar system. Contact or comment with any questions. Not many of these left so hurry up :)

Craig Mawlam, Founder of Escapade 4x4, shares his trip up to the beautiful Lake District - stopping on the way to visit Noisekillers Ltd

It didn’t take much persuasion for a trip to the Lake District, especially when it meant combining a visit to resolve the noise levels in a Series Land Rover with a night of camping close to Lake Windermere. At NoiseKillers, Dan applied his expertise to transform a 1969 Classic Series 2A Land Rover from chainsaw-like decibel levels to a far more comfortable 87–88db.

The outing was also the perfect opportunity to test the new Aero Swing-Away Tent mounted on the back of the Series. While fitting a roof tent to such a classic might be questionable, the swing-away design offered a quieter and more fitting solution without adding extra wind noise.

In a world that often feels increasingly loud, a few hours in Dan’s company followed by a quiet night on a gentle hillside near the woods proved to be the perfect escape. Driving away through the country lanes, looking out from behind the split windscreen, it was easy to imagine being transported back to the 1970s—if only for a fleeting moment.
