Forest School and outdoor workshops for any age and ability!

How it started:
'Wild Things!' was set up by Abigail (Abbie) Jebson in December 2015. A
bbie is a qualified Primary School Teacher with five years of teaching experience in various schools across South Wales. She is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Lead Practitioner (Agored Cymru certified) and has a First Aid certificate in Outdoor Paediatrics. Further to this, Abbie is also a registered Forest School Leader with 'Forest School Wales' and holds a BSc in Zoology from Cardiff University. After teaching full-time, Abbie wanted to pursue her passion for encouraging outdoor experience and education in childhood development. Abbie has a taught a range of Forest School Workshops in the past and ran a number of successful summer holiday workshops (2014) in Penllergare Valley Woods, Swansea. In December 2015 she took the leap from full-time teaching to set up this company, to offer workshops and outdoor experiences to children of all ages; from toddlers to the more 'mature' children among us!

What We Offer:
'Wild Things!' offers a variety of workshops in the outdoor environment, with the aim to reconnect children, teenagers and adults with the natural world. Workshops include activities such as campfire building, den building, bug hunts, sustainability education, bird identification, woodland crafts, just to name a few! Sessions can be tailor made to suit the needs of a group. We offer regular Forest School programmes, parties, one-off workshops and holiday clubs. Sessions are currently taking place at varied locations across Wales. 'Wild Things!' also offers Forest School PPA Cover to schools as our Lead Practitioner is a fully qualified Primary School teacher with 4 years of full-time teaching experience.
