For the 60 men we lose every hour to su***de, Swansea University Rowing Club are aiming to complete 6000km of exercise over the month of November. We’ve currently moved 5851km, so just under 150km to go.

In aid of Movember, Sam Jarvis, one of our Senior Men, has written a beautiful poem. Please feel free to give it a read below!

👨🏼‍🦰Movember is finally upon us!👨🏼‍🦰

Movember is such an important event and their work makes a massive difference in Men’s mental health awareness and su***de prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Men are dying too young and as a club I’m sure we all recognise how important it is to break the silence about Men’s mental and physical health.

Come and see us at the Freshers Fayre, table 72! We are there tomorrow and Wednesday from 10am until 6pm.
Hopefully we can meet some of our new members and get chatting about the upcoming year!

If you didn’t receive the results you hoped for, don’t worry! Places are available at Swansea for clearing - so don’t forget to get in touch with the uni💚

Teams are available for all levels of experience including no experience at all. Send us a message and we can direct you to our team captains and the right page to join!

Novice Men
Novice Women

And if you don’t fancy competing, that’s ok! You will still be able to join any training sessions and have the chance to go out on the water socially!

This year we missed out on another Varsity due to Covid 😔 That’s another chance missed to come together, work as a team and have some competitive fun by rowing against Cardiff in the Welsh Boat Race!

This year Swansea Uni Rowing Club are instead coming together with rowers past and present in a photo-sharing event! By digging out some varsity photos and reminiscing in the good old days, we hope to help raise some much need funds to help our club return to the water with as few problems as possible!
