After losing the toss, Swan Lanka CC were put into bat on a difficult surface where run-scoring was never easy. The Spartans bowlers maintained tight lines and regular wickets prevented Swan Lanka from building momentum throughout the innings. Despite a fighting effort from the middle order, Swan Lanka were restricted to 117/10 in 20 overs.

Chasing 118, Swansea Spartans started confidently before Swan Lanka’s bowlers produced a remarkable comeback. With disciplined bowling and relentless pressure, Spartans collapsed to 79/7 at one stage, bringing Swan Lanka right back into the contest.

The game was hanging in the balance, but Jaaz and Sebastian showed composure under pressure and stitched together a valuable partnership to guide Spartans to a narrow 3-wicket victory.

Once again, star performer Aazim impressed with a brilliant all-round display, contributing with both bat and ball to keep Swan Lanka in the game. Captain Azrin also showed outstanding leadership under pressure, keeping the team motivated throughout the contest.

Although the result didn’t go our way, the resilience, fighting spirit, and unity shown by the team are huge positives to carry forward for the rest of the season. The Lions fought till the very end. 🦁🔥

A Masterclass in the Midweek League! 🦁🔥

The winning streak continues! Swan Lanka CC delivered another clinical performance last night, defeating Deccan Chargers by 24 runs in the Tawe T20 League.

On a challenging evening with overcast skies, the Lions stayed composed. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, we posted a commanding 192/2 in our allocated 18 overs. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the "Azmy Brothers Show"—Aazim A blazed his way to a sensational 110 not out, supported perfectly by captain Azrin A with a classy 56.

Defending a big total is never easy, but our bowling unit was up for the challenge! Every bowler chipped in, with Azrin A (3 wickets) and a sharp cameo from Chaminda (2 wickets) helping to restrict the Chargers to 168 all out.
