Tumble Ladies 0 – 4 Rockspur Ladies

Midweek Fixture – Parc Mynydd Mawr 6pm

Rockspur Ladies delivered a dominant and professional performance on the road, securing an important 4–0 victory over Tumble Ladies at Parc Mynydd Mawr.

From the very first whistle, Rockspur set the tone. Solid and composed at the back, the defence and goalkeeper were resolute throughout, while a well-balanced midfield dictated the tempo. Up front, the movement and link-up play caused problems all evening, laying the foundations for a complete team performance.

The breakthrough came early within the opening five minutes. Donna surged down the flank and delivered a perfectly timed ball for Toria Wilcox, who made an intelligent run across her defender and calmly finished to give Rockspur the lead.

It wasn’t long before the advantage was doubled. When the ball broke to Rhiannon around 20 yards out, she struck it cleanly and emphatically, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and nearly bursting the back of the net—an outstanding goal.

Rockspur maintained relentless pressure, winning the ball high up the pitch and showcasing energy and work rate that Tumble struggled to match.

Rockspur Ladies controlled all areas of the game and never allowed their opponents to gain a foothold.

The third and fourth goals came courtesy of Sammy Hayward, who capped off an excellent all-round performance with two well-taken finishes. Assists came from Chloe Hayes and Donna, highlighting the team’s fluid attacking play.

The second half saw Rockspur manage the game with maturity and composure, maintaining their structure and seeing out the result professionally without allowing Tumble any opportunities back into the contest.

In a reflection of the collective effort, the Manager’s Player of the Match was awarded to the entire team for their unity, work ethic, and composure throughout. Players’ Player went to Vicky Nicholas, whose energy, quality, and relentless work rate stood out on the night.

Rockspur would like to thank Tumble Ladies for their hospitality and wish them the best for the remainder of the season.

A vital three points in the push for the league title.

That’s why we offer a family discount on subs, with a £5 reduction applied each month for additional siblings playing within our junior sides:

1st child £22.50
2nd child £17.50
…and so on.

Chloe leads from the front on the pitch, and off it she’s passing that same passion down to the next generation.

Layla and Parker are both part of the Rockies family, with Parker already pulling on the shirt for our U6s Rockspur Boys 👏🏻⚽️

It’s what being a family club is all about creating an environment where players of all ages can grow, develop, and enjoy the game together.

Rockspur Ladies 16 – 0 Ystrad Ladies

Under a blazing sun in the first half, Rockspur Ladies delivered a dominant performance as they moved one step closer to the league title — with every remaining fixture now feeling like a cup final.

Despite the scoreline, this match was about more than goals. Credit must go to Ystradgynlais AFC Women & Girls Ladies, who showed tremendous spirit, determination, and pride throughout — a real testament to themselves and their club 👏

It was also a valuable opportunity to give the squad important minutes, with several players making big personal milestones. A special mention to captain Chloe Davies for opening her league account, alongside first league goals for Chloe Lewis, Chloe Hayes, Evie Winter
, and Kim Meredith.

Today was a reminder that women’s football is the real winner — another positive step forward for the game and the league.

Managers player of the day was Kim Meredith, played out of position up front and on the wing and bagged herself a hatrick. Great energy and a celebration to die for 👏

Players Player was a hard choice this week for the players. But two stand out performances Nicky Hayward who not only scored a hatrick but her energy all game was amazing and then Cloe Morgan whos energy and out play from right back was inch perfect.

A huge thank you again to Ystrad Ladies for their attitude and effort. Wishing them the very best for the rest of the season.
