Cycle Route 43 parkrun, Ystalyfera

We had another successful morning at parkrun event 120.

We paid tribute to the 4 miners who lost their lives in the Gleision Mining disaster of September 2011 with a floral tribute at the Miners memorial area of our route, and with a poem and short reading.

Kirsten was our Run Director today. It was her first time at the role and did a sterling job! Great work Kirsten Maryke!

The weather was relatively kind to us until the last 5 minutes of the event, ☔️

PLEASE consider volunteering occasionally at a parkrun, your contribution will ensure we all have a safe and fun time doing what we love on a Saturday morning.
