The Aim of Dragon Spirit is "to remain natural and in accordance with Nature's intended way". At first movements will be stiff and awkward, but with a dedicated heart and spirit the body will find its natural way of moving. The Dragon Spirit system aims to help overcome difficulties whilst developing your natural abilities in motion. Our bodies move best in a relaxed state, where they are more abl

e to respond to changing circumstances. For example attacks from differing angles, combinations and distances. Our minds can function with greater clarity when in this natural state helping us to see things clearer, giving us the ability to respond instantly.

Yesterday‘s tai chi seminar with Steve Rowe was one of my favourites pushing hands and application from the yang form was inspiring and full of surprises.  highlighted how a small movement can change the whole thing and pointed out if you’re not sure go back to the form and that turned up many times. Surley anyone wanting to learn Tai Chi properly has got to sign up for these courses, it’s great fun with fantastic people a proper Tai chi family and I must mention my mate Will Nichols who was a great partner in our training yesterday.
