What Makes You Happy At Christmas?

What Makes Me Happy At Christmas!

I love this time of year! I want to share with you some of my favourite things:

✅ - More time with family and friends

✅️ - Dressing up for parties, dancing and playing silly games

✅ - The generosity and giving nature of Christmas

✅ - The little moments of peace and reflection as one year ends and another begins!

For me as a coach it is also a very happy time of year because the passion for fitness and wellbeing is sparked in nearly everyone.

Why we work 💪

I fell in love with fitness many, many years ago,

It all started as a toddler, Mum says I was never without a ball at my feet and when I started school I would try out for every team sport I could.

I loved to compete but when I left school I lost a lot of weight through poor mental health so exercise became my support, my saviour.

Throughout my fitness journey I have gained

🙌 Confidence in every aspect of my life

🤯 Long-term invaluable knowledge relating to my health and fitness

💪 Mental and physical strength

🏃 The energy and enthusiasm I thought only toddlers had

👫 Amazing friends and a supportive community

🥰 A fun and rewarding career

Now I just want to help others feel the same!

That's why I work with women and men to adapt their training and nutrition to feel healthier physically and mentally whilst boosting their confidence.

Don't delay your dreams this December 🗓

December is a month notorious for making people 'falling off track',

Whether it be Christmas day, Work do's, or Festive Celebrations

People are quick to make excuses as to why they've been led astray 🫣

But the truth is...

There are 27 whole days left 2022 🤯

Meaning, even if you had an entire week of non-stop celebrations

You still have 20 days to make sure you hit your goals 🙌

Here are my 5 top tips for hitting your targets this December:

🎄 Don't restrict yourself too much - you'll only binge later!

🎄 Plan ahead - organise your workouts and meal prep so there's no nasty surprises later

🎄 Get your steps in - this simple action TRULY makes a difference

🎄 Eat until you're full, not stuffed! - Enjoy your food, eating until you're uncomfortable is NOT enjoyable

🎄 Set realistic expectations - Progress is progress, taking baby steps is better than trying to take on the world and being disheartened if it doesn't work out

GIVE IT A REST 🥱

We need to stop shaming ourselves for taking it easy every once in a while!

It's these toxic messages we send ourselves that result in the toxic cycle of restriction and bingeing!

We must all learn to listen to our bodies👂

Working out is great, and by no means am I telling you to stop 😅

I am however, reminding you not to over-exert yourself!

How are you supposed to reap the benefits of your efforts if your body can't keep up?!

These are just a few of the signs you may need a rest day.

If you're stuck for ideas on how you can rest and recover, why not try:

✅ Incorporating active recovery / rest days into your weekly workout plan

✅ Staying hydrated and ensuring you're eating in accordance to your workouts

✅ Getting AT LEAST 7 hours sleep every night!

I sometimes forget that it's a new concept to a lot of people!

The best way I can describe Online Coaching is like having a PT in your pocket.

It's so much more affordable than having in-person PT sessions AND you get more accountability and support.

With my clients, I set them habits & goals in my App for them to complete on a daily and weekly basis.

I make sure all my clients are educated on WHY their plan is the way it is, so that they understand the importance of each component and can stick at it completely.

I tailor each plan to fit in with a client's routine, lifestyle, work schedule and current fitness level - no two clients are the same, so nor are my programmes.
 
When you have a Personal Trainer alone, you can often miss out on the "coaching" aspect - which in my eyes, is what truly gets you the results you want.

There are loads of benefits to having a PT session in the gym 

But for me, if you want to truly transform your lifestyle, create new habits and really see visible results physically...
