Getting back to exercise after a cardiac event is one thing. Knowing what to eat around it is another.

After my own heart attack, I had to figure this out myself. Nobody sat me down and explained how nutrition changes when your heart is working harder and you are trying to rebuild your fitness safely.

This graphic is what I now share with clients who are in that exact situation.

It is a simple starting point, not a rigid plan. Real food, easy to find, easy to prepare.

Save this post for your next grocery run. It is worth coming back to.

If you have had a cardiac event and you are not sure how to structure your nutrition or exercise safely, send me a message through this page or book a free 15-minute consultation at www.stayyoungpt.com.

When I was discharged after my STEMI, I was handed a leaflet and told I would be referred for cardiac rehabilitation. I did not fully understand what that meant at the time, and if you are in the same position, this arti...

Most adults over 50 overthink nutrition. They do not need a complicated plan. They need a handful of meals they can repeat every week without thinking about it.

As a Level 4 Personal Trainer and GP Exercise Referral Specialist working with adults 40, the first thing I do with new clients is simplify. Not restrict. Simplify.

These 5 meals are a starting point. High protein. Simple ingredients. Easy to repeat even on the busiest weeks.

Save this post for your next grocery run. And if you want a nutrition plan built specifically around your health history and goals, send me a message through this page or book a free 15-minute consultation at www.stayyoungpt.com

You think you are eating healthy. Your blood sugar disagrees.

These 5 foods are not junk food. They are not obvious. That is exactly what makes them so easy to overlook after 50.

After reversing my own Type 2 diabetes through structured exercise and nutrition, I started paying close attention to what was actually spiking my blood sugar. The foods that caused the most damage were the ones I would never have suspected.

Most of my clients were eating at least three of these before we worked together, and had no idea.

Save this post and take a look at what you are eating this week.
