It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that due to lack of players we have now folded as a team. What an amazing journey it has been over the past 6 seasons. Thank you so much to all the amazing 70 ladies who have represented us over the years especially those who have been involved all the way through and a special mention and extra special thank you to Steve Anderson who has been an amazing coach to the team. We have a bunch of amazing people but due to family commitments, work and injuries we are struggling for numbers. The last thing we want is for this brilliant team to fold but we need maybe 6/7 (yes you did what all the kids are doing!) more players to help us finish the season and rebuild. 🔥 What a Performance! 🔥
A massive 13–1 win yesterday against Hurworth Albion!
⚽️ Goal Scorers:
• Gemma – 5
• Rachael – 5
• Demi – 2
• Megan – 1
It could have been even more, but full credit to the Hurworth keeper who pulled off some fantastic saves throughout the game. 🧤✨
A huge well done to Hurworth as well, they battled well with only 10 players, and then bravely continued with 9 after an unfortunate injury.
Super proud of the team today! ⚽️

🎉 Great Victory for the Ladies Today! 🎉

A fantastic 2-0 win over Darlington Locomotive! 💪⚽ Goals from Gemma and Demi secured the win, but the team gave it their all throughout the match. We had some unlucky moments with tight offside calls and hitting the bar, but we pushed through as a unit.

Incredible team effort all around, now let’s take this momentum into our next game! 🙌🔥

The girls battled hard right until the final whistle today, showing real determination and grit 💪 With only 10 players on the pitch, tired legs started to show.

Goals came from Gemma and a well-taken penalty from Demi ⚽️

What. A. Comeback! 💪⚽️🔥

Our ladies showed incredible fight today to come back and draw 3-3 with a strong South Moor side!
Gemma got us off to a great start with a brilliant strike to make it 1-0. South Moor responded well with three quality goals to take the lead at 3-1, but our heads never dropped.
Naomi pulled one back with a stunning free kick to make it 3-2 and set up a tense finish.
With just 90 seconds left on the clock, Rachael rose highest and powered home an absolute thunderbolt of a header to level it at 3-3! 🙌👏
A fantastic team performance and a well-earned point, every single player gave it everything today! 💛💙

Fantastic Friendly vs Whickham Fellside Ladies! ⚽️💪
Huge shoutout to the Wear United Ladies who put in an incredible performance today to win 4-2, with only 7 players on an 11-a-side pitch! Despite being outnumbered, they played some lovely football and scored some excellent goals. Super proud of the effort from everyone involved.
