The Galácticos were on fine form tonight and the energy they showed was second to none!
They were on fire during the passing drills we did 🔥, were strong in the 1v1 practice 💪🏼 and showed quick reactions when transitioning from attack to defend 🏎

This weeks Trainers of the Week are Finley, Grayson, Karter, Louie, Robbie and Tommy.

Weekend Action 🔴⚽️⚫️

The Galácticos kicked off their U8 League campaign this morning against an unfamiliar team in Hartlepool Gretton Crest.
From the start, it was clear to see that Hartlepool were a very strong team from the year above and that the lads had their work cut out! Hartlepool raced ahead to a comfortable lead before we pulled a goal back before half time.
Hartlepool started the second half the same way they started the first half, getting an early goal. Hartlepool moved the ball around really well and were very good moving into space behind our players, which took us some time during the match to stop. They extended their lead before we used power play for the first time ever, due to the strength of our opponent and it certainly helped us get more into the game. The lads started to make use of the extra players on the pitch and managed to find the net again, which spurred us on to press and win the ball higher up the pitch. We scored some more goals, but unfortunately lost the match by the three goals.
It was a tough start to the season for the lads, as I would imagine Hartlepool to be up near the top of the division come the end of the season. The lads continued to fight till the end and showed real spirit, something which we will certainly take forward with us. We showed that we can play against a good opponent by getting the ball forward, but it was the defensive side of our game which we didnt do as well as we could today, we need to remember that we defend from the top and match our men going forward and back.
First game over and done with, now we move on with work to do 🔴👊🏼⚫️

⭐️ Finley played well at the back and was calm and composed. He made good decisions, took the ball forward when he could and played some great passes forward.
⭐️ Tommy controlled the ball well in the middle and used great strengh and showed confidence to keep the ball and work his way towards goal. He scored two goals too.

The Galácticos picked up from where they left off at training last week and were again outstanding 👏🏼 All the lads came with a brilliant attitude, gave their all and played some fantastic football ⚽️👌🏼

This weeks Trainers of the Week are Louie and Tommy.

Louie's first session as a Galáctico and he was great! Louie is getting better and better each week and his first touch and passing was very good tonight! He also showed a brilliant workrate. ⚽️👏🏼

Tommy demonstrated fantastic footwork tonight, which saw him do well to beat his man. Tommy did very well to transition from attacking to defending and pressed his opponents quickly. ⚽️👏🏼

Well done Louie, Tommy and the rest of the Galácticos ⚽️👏🏼

🗓 AUGUST'S PLAYER OF THE MONTH...

BEAU 👏🏼

Beau was outstanding in the training sessions and the matches we played during August. What was really impressive about Beau's game, was how he continued to be an attacking threat whilst also developing the defensive side of his game. Beau was asked to play in unfamiliar positions and he understood and executed what was needed remarkably well. He was able to win the ball with good strength and then demonstrated brilliant decision making, whether to take the ball out from the back himself or pick out a pass to a teammate. During the month Beau scored seven goals and was awarded Trainer of the Week and Player of the Match three times.

Well done Beau ⚽️👏🏼 Keep up the good work!
