Whitburn 1-3 Redhill

Back to winning ways today, We decided to change formation today after a bad recent run of results and it worked well.

1st half we decided to play against the wind and we created some great chances. 20 mins in the game good work by tenchy and Robbie lead to our 1st goal with a great finish by micky in his left foot. We played some great football and unlucky not to add a 2nd, Whitburn themselves had couple good chances but some good saves kept us at 1-0. 35 mins Whitburn levelled after we failed to cope with a corner,
Ht 1-1

2nd half we had a slight advantage with the wind now in our favour 1st 10 mins was scrappy but we got awarded a pen around 57 mins which mickey Copley slotted home,
10 mins later we got awarded another pen which Craig decided to step up this time but unfortunately was saved well by the Whitburn keeper.
We then decided to freshen things up and within 1 minute of coming on young Lewis finds the net with a good finish
15 mins to go we then made all our changes for the game to give all players game time, Whitburn had another couple chances late hitting the bar and also forcing Dave into another good save..

Ft 3-1

Overall a very good team performance from EVERYONE Today, was a much needed win, next game in 2 weeks home to the fleece.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINATIONS FOR OCTOBER

October a tough month for the lads, which results not been going our way. Nominations for October's player of the month below and winner announced Sunday!

**Nominations**

Paul Bramley - Played 3 from last 4 and as always gives his all and always get a solid performance from him,

David Passmore- Played all games in October and even tho we have conceded quite a few goals, he has seen 3 motm awards from previous 4 games..

Michael Wright - Young micky another always give 100% and has been playing with an injury most of the month, after starting the season on fire scoring for fun, goals have dried up but he's always been involved and offering us alot going forward

Would have been more nominations but we have had to change our team alot past 3 weeks due to injurys work commitments etc., Hopefully in November we get more players back and can get results going our way again,

Romanos 8 - 2 Redhill

We suffered another heavy defeat today in awful weather, Didn't help been let down by players last minute but the best team on the day won.

After a great start to the season we have suffered 3 defeats in the league in a row which we need to put right next Sunday when we travel to Whitburn

4 down at ht mistakes costing us after we didn't play too badly , 2nd half we battled, got ourselves a couple of goals but romanos had too much for us on the day,

🏆LEAGUE FIXTURE🏆

Sundays game against Romanos which was due to be a long awaited home game has been reversed to us now playing away at an earlier kick off.

Another tough game against a team who expecting to be challenging for the title, they had a fantastic start to the season, We need to be on our game on Sunday and hopefully give them a good game and get us a result.

Penshaw 4-0 Redhill

Unfortunately we lose for 2nd week in a row against league leaders Penshaw.

We started slowly but a bad 15 min spell in the 1st half seen us go 3 down. We kept battling and never gave up,

Our MOTM David Passmore kept us in the game with some fine 2nd half saves, He then had to leave 10 mins before the end of the game to go watch Man Utd get humiliated and Penshaw made it 4-0 late scoring past the geordie pirlo dan who went in goal

Was a scuffle 2nd half where the penshaw sideline decided to attack jack who was on the floor with a couple even having sly kicks at him, ref only issued a yellow but should have been more!

We move onto next week where we face another very hard game against romanos!

We need a Big performance this week after last Sundays Awful Result, hopefuly we have a few players back and we can give them a good game.

Boldon 8-2 Redhill

Tough game today for us. We knew be a hard game but missing 7 1st team starters and bare bones on squad depth, it was always going to be an uphill task. Management even playing for us but take nothing away from Boldon as they where outstanding today.

We had 3 good chances 1st half bur went into half time 3-0 down.

Jp pulled a goal back for us with a low drive into the bottom corner after a good build up. Bolton went 6-1 up before ringtone ganley scored a cracking goal. Last 10 mins boldon finished us off ending up 8-2 winners. Good luck for rest of season for Boldon, we need to bounce back next week and hopefuly have players back as we take on an undefeated Penshaw

Marsden Inn FC 0-3 Redhill

We returned to league action today and kept our 100% league record going.

The scoreline doesnt reflect the game, A surreal performance from David passmore today helped us earn the 3 points.

Marsden nearly went 1 up within 10 mins when the striker smashed a volly from 10 yards out to be acrobatically saved my dave in goal, even game after that for 20 mins until mickey pounced on a gk error to make us go 1 up

Marsden found a way through again again found dave in top form denying the same striker, 5 mins before ht marsden where awarded a pen, but the form dave was in, the cat brilliantly got down his left bottom corner to save the penalty to keep the score 1-0..

2nd half and was evenly balanced for 25 minutes until micky crossed and a looping header from jack made it 2-0 to us.

Marsden kept coming but just couldn't find away past Passmore in goal, 15 mins to go robbie hit a 25 yarder which somehow went through the marsden keeper to make it 3 0...

Marsden still never gave up and another 3 or 4 great saves from dave in goal kept them at bay, even bramley tried putting one past him last minute but was tipped around the post. Marsden players couldn't believe what they where seeing, some even said best performance they have seen by a keeper on a sunday.

Not one of our best performances at all but 3 points and a fully deserved clean sheet for motm dave in goal, Also big mention to micky whos workrate was outstanding.. Big games coming up over next few weeks for us. Wish Marsden all the best for the season

This Sunday we travel to South Shields to play Marden..

Our game last Sunday was called off but ended up moving upto 2nd (joint top) after results went in our favour, We hoping to get a good result on Sunday to keep our league form momentum going as we have a tough month of fixtures awaiting us.
