I started Karate at age 10.
I began representing my national team internationally at age 17. I continued representing my sport as an athlete internationally for 21 years.
•
The sport has enabled me to have a positive impact on my community, as well as different communities around the world.
•
I have inspired & been inspired by athletes & coaches from across the globe.
•
I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to represent two countries, both England & now Jamaica 🇯🇲🙌🏿.
•
Alongside my team mates, we have been able to use our platform to create a pathway for young Jamaican athletes at home & abroad who will represent in WKF Karate in the years to come & will continue to support the development of wider karate.
•
Today, I officially retire from the sport as an athlete & would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has contributed to my journey, you know who you are. Extra special thanks goes to my incredible wife Melissa & our two wonderful girls. It would not have been possible without your support, love & guidance. Forever greatful to the Jamaica Karate Federation & Jamaica Olympic Association 🙏🏿.

Honoured to represent & speak on behalf of the Federation at at the World Championships in Dubai 🇦🇪 2021.

This congress was a great step forward for Jamaica, which saw the WKF Executive Committee & Member Nations unanimously vote in agreement to include Jamaica Karate for Permanent Affiliation to the World Karate Federation. This will ultimately mean more opportunity for athletes & officials longer term. Very exciting times 🇯🇲🙌🏿.

A huge congratulations to my colleagues, particularly Lisa Hampton - Head of Queen's Baton Relay & her amazing team on the incredible launch of the Queen's Baton Relay from Buckingham Palace yesterday.
•
The launch provided an incredible opportunity for children & young people from Birmingham to form a key part of the celebrations as flagbearers, many of whom had never been to London before or who face additional barriers to participation. A special thanks to the incredible teachers, youth workers & Learning Programme team who inspired those children & young people to participate, facilitated them to succeed & celebrated their success.
