We have been approached by BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio to see if any of our members are interested in taking part in a Valentines Blind Date experience. The idea we have is for a free, one-off, on-air blind date experience for two Spice members (open to all ages). The idea is simple: we’d introduce two singles (any age), speak to them both beforehand, and have our presenter guide their first conversation live on air. Each person helps shape the questions, shares only what they’re comfortable with, and decides at the end whether they’d like to meet again or simply enjoy the experience for what it is.
We’d speak to both participants beforehand, ensure they’re comfortable with the format, and give them a say in the questions and information they’d like to share. The intention isn’t to create pressure or spectacle, but to give our listeners the chance to hear a real first connection unfold on air.
Care, respect, consent, and confidentiality are central to this. Participants would remain in control of what they share, and nothing would be done without their full understanding and agreement.
