Shelly S. MacPhail Mama of two girls, loving life, living fit and sharing my journey along the way :). Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting my page. I am Shelly and I LOVE fitness.

I have two beautiful little girls (ages 1 and 3) and a fantastic, also fit husband and I believe that staying fit and healthy is a huge part of a fulfilling and energetic life. I have always been a runner with 5 marathons under my belt, but I wasn’t always healthy about it, and would often run until I had nothing left. This left me in hospital on one occasion following an infection that my body st

ruggled to fight, and long story short, I turned the experience positive and made the choice to change my lifestyle, exercise and diet. Fast forward to my big life achievement so far (aside from having children!), which was completing Ironman Canada. However, during this training period, even in spite of the long work outs and moderate diet, I was still not in the shape that I envisioned. My coach introduced me to Shakeology and HIIT programs last year and after trying three programs, I was (/am) hooked!! And I have never been in better shape in terms of strength, energy and overall muscle definition. I still run, cycle and swim, but, I also balance this with HIIT, Cize, leg days, arm days and most importantly Shakeology and a refreshed eating plan. I want to be your coach because I can help you to find the best program that works for you and your lifestyle, and balance this with the right nutrition. Whether you are a working mother, a new parent, new to exercise, an experienced runner or triathlete, I would love to hear from you and help you to figure out how to take the next step in your fitness goals. Looking forward to talking! Shelly xox

I lost a little bit (or let’s be honest… a LOT) of my mojo over the last two years 😅…

I’ll spare ya the details, but I’m so grateful I leaned on consistency over motivation. Even on the days I didn’t feel it, I kept showing up and building a super strong fitness base with my coach Rea 💪🏽✨. And it paid off as I tell my kids hard work usually does 😉 .

Another 100km ultra (next level of HARD!) ✔️
A few 50km trail races ✔️
A few 50km Spartans ✔️
A few half marathons ✔️
A whole crew of incredible new friends ✔️

And now I’m wrapping up the season with two recent races I’m genuinely proud of — a hilly VT trail half marathon and Spartan Boston (1st AG in both) with superstar Emily and my little cheer squad 🥹🔥.

My mojo is officially back … and I have decided to scrap the big goals for 2026 and go HUGE instead 🔥:). Thank you and .doherty for the extra nudge and motivation :).

PS: full transparency… I tried to AI edit pic #5 but nope 😂 In a world full of filters and fake, we need a whole lot more real.

I’m 3 months late 😂 but spending a month in Europe this summer with some of my favorite people in the world was pure magic 💕.

I’m a big believer in working really hard so we can play just as hard 💪🏽..

That balance keeps me going as a single working mama, even on the days when it all feels impossible 🙃.

Long days, taxi driving, crazy early mornings 😴, endless activities 😂 … but also chasing goals, raising two amazing girlies, and still making space to live, race and explore. 🌍💫

Already dreaming about 2026, with more travel, more adventure, big work goals, and maybe… a 100-mile destination race 👀

Life’s way too short not to go all in 🌎💕

➡️ What’s one destination on your 2026 bucket list? Drop it below — I’m taking notes! ✈️✨

What’s it going to be? :)

3am wake-up calls are the real question... why do we do this?! 🙂. But somehow these races keep calling us back 😅…

The Killington Ultra was brutally brutal - 32 miles, 15kft elevation, 60+ obstacles, 88k steps, 6500 calories, and views that almost made it all worth it :). I wanted to quit more times than I can count ( !!!), but those finish line feels are addictive 🥰.

Finishing was the goal, but 1st place AG was a dream! I still believe tackling the tough stuff out here helps us face life's challenges :).
Until the next one, 🔥.

Ps, huge shoutout to Olivia (last slide) crushing the kids course on Sunday! 💪 Proud mama moment 💞.

It’s been a while! Spring has already turned into a hot summer up here 🥵 , but I didn’t want to miss sharing a few of my favorite things (20 to be exact 😂), from the past three months ☀️

Paris girls trip ✔️
Spartan Ultra NJ (1st place 🥇) ✔️
Half marathon ✔️
50km ultra race ✔️
Non stop kid sports and three fun travel team weekends away ✔️
A very important 13th birthday!! 🎂 ✔️
Summer days ✔️
Still training relentlessly for my 100km ultra in 2 weeks … (not quite ✔️ yet but 🤞)

Just your average spring sprint to summer whoooosh ;)…. Here’s to more adventures coming soon ✈️ 🇮🇹 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇨🇦 😚

My 2024 audit & 2025 goals 🙂. As says, you can’t decide where you’re going next unless you know where you are at right now 🙂.

In my last post of 2023, I wrote that I wanted to do the things below. I’m happy to say that (although the year wasn’t perfect!) I can check these boxes 🙂.
- Keep traveling with my kids and friends- ☑️ the girls and I visited 6 countries in 2024 including Italy & Costa Rica which were a dream!

- Spend as much time as possible with people I really care about - ☑️ I spent a lot of time with my kiddos, bf, friends in VT and made more effort to see my bestest friends & family overseas this year. Planning to do much much more of the same in 2025!

- Take more chances, say YES more, be even more spontaneous. ☑️ - I’m living this right now & loving it. Also teaching my kids to do the same, with caution 🙂. If in doubt say YES!

- Race moreeeee! Find a hard 100km and lots of Spartans. ☑️ I finished my first ever 100km race and ran over 1.6k miles. Managed to podium at every spartan race, which is a nice reminder that hard work pays off 🙂.

- Be as present as I can with my kids. No phones when we are talking (they don’t have phones yet so that’s all on me ;)). ☑️- I’m much better at this now but am keeping it as a goal so my kids never doubt real life outside screens is the best 💕.

- Get even fitter & stronger ☑️- finishing this year feeling fitter than ever &ready to push that more in 2025

So 2024 was a good year, & I want to keep building on these goals in 2025, including…
- travel even more 🌎
- race more - more Spartans & something bigger than a 100km like a transAlps race (anyone interested? 😉)
- keep growing my career at Accenture. I have big career goals esp in 2025 and I love the way things are going 😍.
- keep helping my kids with their own fitness pursuits - they’re doing really well & I want to keep nurturing that drive 🔥.
- grow my investments!
- lots more but I’ll stop here 🙂.

I hope your 2024 went well & even if it didn’t (I’ve been there in 2020, 2021& 2022 ), 2025 is right around the corner.

Aim high & let’s get to work 💪.

See ya in Feb!
