✨ Behind the scenes at Stourport Regatta ✨

A regatta doesn’t happen without an incredible team behind the scenes, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our 150th Regatta such a special weekend 🩵💙

From our amazing volunteers, catering team, bar team, BBQ crew, junior parent’s and every single person who gave up their time, we couldn’t have done it without you.

There are so many jobs that happen behind the scenes that often go unseen, from setting up and preparing the site, keeping everyone fed and watered, running the bar, helping with the racing, welcoming clubs and crews, and clearing everything away afterwards.

This weekend was a huge team effort, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played their part.

What a special weekend celebrating 150 years of Stourport Boat Club!

Our Stourport Regatta & Sprint was a fantastic weekend of racing, with an incredible 12 wins across all sections of the Club.

A huge congratulations to Fran Whitehead, Jane Davies and Abby Huntbatch on their first wins – well done!

And a special mention to George Davies, Harrison Reeves, Jack and Olly Rowley on their first race in the J154x+ – a great effort against some very tough competition.

Away from the racing, the weekend was made even more special by the amazing food, entertainment and atmosphere throughout the celebrations. A huge thank you to Ryan, our Junior Coach, and Noah, who performed on Friday evening and helped to start the weekend celebrations.

A fabulous effort from everyone, both on and off the water, to make this a truly fantastic 150th Anniversary event.

Whether you’re racing, supporting from the bank or simply looking for a fantastic summer weekend, there’s something for everyone – riverside camping, live music, delicious food, licensed bars, family activities and plenty of rowing action.

🏆Bewdley Regatta & Sprint 2026 🏆

It was another fantastic weekend of racing for Stourport Boat Club at Bewdley Regatta & Sprint, with some excellent performances across all age groups.

On Saturday, we had a strong turnout and came away with four victories:
🚣 Op Masters E4+ : Pete, Tim, Chris & Andy
🚣 Op 1x: Jimmy
🚣 W2- : Laura and Adie
🚣 Low CRI 2x : Dave & Pete

A special congratulations to Dave Johnson and Pete Brothwell on their first win and race together; a fantastic achievement!

Our Senior Women’s 4+ of Sophie, Fran, Ella and Victoria also put together a strong performance against quality opposition, racing their way through to the final. It was also Fran’s first race representing Stourport Boat Club.

There were also some brilliant performances from our junior squad. A special mention goes to Maisy, Ani and Bella, who all raced in a single scull for the first time on Saturday. An even bigger achievement for Ani and Maisy, who only started learning to row in March. They showed great determination and should all be incredibly proud of themselves. Across the weekend, our juniors competed in both singles and doubles against strong opposition, with several crews progressing through the heats into the later rounds.

On Sunday’s sprint race, despite fewer entries the club added two more wins:

🚣 Mixed 2x : Jimmy & Jodie

Congratulations to everyone who raced, supported and volunteered over the weekend. It was another successful regatta for Stourport Boat Club, with some fantastic results and plenty of performances to be proud of 🩵💙

Henley 2026

What a memorable Henley season it’s been for Stourport Boat Club!

This year was especially significant as we celebrated 150 years of our club. To mark the occasion, we hired a pavilion where members came together to enjoy the racing, celebrate our history, and make some fantastic memories.

One of the highlights was our club row-past, a special moment to celebrate 150 years of Stourport Boat Club on the iconic Henley course.

At Henley Women’s Regatta, congratulations to Adie and Laura, who qualified in the pair and represented the club.

At Henley Masters Regatta, Jo and Deb put in a strong performance, while Duncan raced in his single and enjoyed some incredibly close racing.

A huge thank you to everyone who rowed, supported, volunteered, and celebrated with us. Here’s to an unforgettable Henley and to the next chapter in Stourport Boat Club’s history! 🩵💙
