Match Report
After three frustrating weeks without a fixture, we were finally back in action — and straight into a tough test against one of the top sides. There was no easing back into it, but you wouldn’t have known we’d been inactive. From the first whistle, the energy and commitment were there for everyone to see.
The game was competitive throughout. Both teams moved the ball well, and it was clear early on this was going to be a proper contest. We matched them in every area — work rate, organisation, and desire. Defensively we stayed compact and disciplined, limiting chances against strong attacking players. In midfield, the battles were relentless, and up front we looked sharp whenever we broke forward.
The standout moment came from Quinn, whose goal capped off a brilliant individual display. It wasn’t just the finish that impressed — it was the constant pressing, tracking back, and willingness to drive the team forward. Parents’ Player was fully deserved.
A special mention to Henry as well. Anyone who understands the context of today will know how much it meant. He gave everything for the shirt, and performances like that speak volumes about character.
Considering the three-week layoff, that result says a lot. It wasn’t about one moment or one individual; it was about a collective effort. That’s why the Managers’ Award rightly went to the whole team.
After weeks of waiting, the lads showed exactly what they’re about — resilience, teamwork, and pride in wearing the badge.
A draw on paper. A performance to be proud of. 💙⚽
