🎾 WIMBLEDON SUCCESS FOR RUBY & LILY! 🎾

A fantastic week at Wimbledon for Ruby Sidaway & Lily Smith, representing Staffordshire Tennis in the 18U Girls’ Doubles! 💪

The girls got off to a brilliant start, winning their opening two matches and topping their box to progress into Day 3. 🔥

They then narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals, going down in a fantastic 2-hour quarter-final after losing the first set on a tie-break before being edged out 6-3 in the second.

What an incredible effort from both girls to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon! 👏🎾

A huge well done and thanks to our Over 35s ladies’ and gents’ teams who recently represented Staffordshire at the LTA Inter-County Championships in Eastbourne.

This competition takes place on some of the best grass courts in the UK and features many top players.

Staffordshire competed in two very difficult groups; the ladies finished third, and the gents secured the runners-up spot in their respective groups.

Clubs across the county represented both teams including Wolverhampton, Barton, Streetly, Draycott, Etching Hill and David Lloyd Dudley.

Well done everyone, and a special thanks to the team captains for leading out the players
