💜 FINALISTS – BBC - Make a Difference Awards! 💜

We are incredibly proud to share that Forget-Me-Knot FC has been named a finalist in the BBC Radio Stoke Make a Difference Awards.

What started as a group of dads brought together through the heartbreak of losing a baby or child has become so much more than football. It has become a safe space, a support network, and a community where no one has to walk this journey alone. Every conversation, every training session, every match, and every shared moment helps remind bereaved parents that they are understood and supported.

From all of the dads at Forget-Me-Knot FC, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate us. Your support means the world and is recognition of every family that is part of our community.

A special thank you to Port Vale FC and and to the amazing bereavement midwives at , Sarah and Caroline, whose support, compassion and dedication continue to make such a difference to families facing unimaginable loss.

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists and everyone nominated in our category. The work being done across Staffordshire is truly inspiring. We are all winners, and Staffordshire should be incredibly proud of the people and organisations who dedicate so much time and effort to supporting others.

Whatever happens next, this recognition belongs to every parent, every family, and every person who has been part of the Forget-Me-Knot FC journey. 💙

A huge thank you to Lookers BMW for hosting their fantastic Cars & Coffee Charity Event in support of Forget Me Knot FC.

The turnout was incredible, and we’re proud to share that our very own .conway4 helped raise an amazing £275.00 for Forget Me Knot FC.

Events like this make a real difference and go a long way in helping us continue to support bereaved fathers in and around Stoke-on-Trent. Your generosity, community spirit, and support mean so much to us.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the day such a success. Special thanks to Lookers BMW for organising such an incredible event and for supporting our cause.

⚽💙💜 MATCH DAY – FOR A CAUSE THAT MATTERS 💜💙⚽

Please come and join us as Forget Me Not FC take on in a special charity fixture at on Sunday 28th June 2026.

🕛 Gates Open: 12:00 PM
⚽ Kick-Off: 1:00 PM
📍 Leek Town FC, Harrison Park, Leek, Staffordshire

This is more than just a football match. Both teams are made up of incredible men who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby or child. Through football, friendship, and support, they continue to honour their loved ones while helping others who are facing similar journeys.

Every donation and every show of support helps us raise vital funds for both groups and the important work they do within the community.

We caught up with this week for a few words of wisdom and how he feels being asked by the group on becoming our first group ambassador. “Being made an Ambassador for Forget Me Knot FC honestly means more to me than I can put into words.

This group has never just been about football. It’s about friendship, support, honesty and giving dads a place where they feel understood during some of the hardest times of their lives. To have played a part in building that with such an incredible group of lads is something I’ll always be proud of.

I also want to thank Port Vale Foundation for their support and belief in the group from day one. Without the Foundation and the work they do in the community, Forget Me Knot FC would not be what it is today.

Although I’m stepping away from my role at Port Vale Foundation, Forget Me Knot FC will always have a massive place in my heart. The lads, the stories and the courage shown every single week stays with you.

To still be part of the journey as an Ambassador is a real honour and I’ll continue doing everything I can to support the group, spread the word and stand alongside the lads moving forward”

We are incredibly proud and honoured to be nominated for the BBC Radio Stoke Make A Difference Awards 💜

A huge thank you to BBC Radio Stoke for this amazing recognition. We are truly grateful for the nomination and for the opportunity to continue supporting dads across the area who have experienced the loss of children and babies at all gestations. Being able to provide that support means everything to us.

We are also incredibly lucky to have the ongoing support, encouragement and belief from and the your backing helps us make a real difference to so many families.

A huge thank you to EPC Groupe and from EPC for their incredibly generous donation of a portable defibrillator to ❤️

This life-saving equipment will now travel with us to all future games and training sessions, helping keep our players, coaches and supporters safe.

EPC are a fantastic local business who work tirelessly throughout the year raising money for different charities and community causes, and this year they have very kindly chosen to support and sponsor us.
