Ever feel guilty after the weekend? Read this before you decide to "be good" on Monday.
One of the biggest mistakes I see parents make when trying to lose weight is swinging between restriction and overeating.
A busy week of work, school runs, activities, family meals and social events comes to an end, and before you know it you've eaten more than you planned.
Then Monday arrives and the response is often:
❌ Skip breakfast
❌ Cut out carbs
❌ Eat as little as possible
❌ "Make up" for the weekend
The problem?
Restriction almost always leads to another cycle of overeating.
Sustainable fat loss isn't built by punishing yourself for enjoying a weekend. It's built by returning to your normal healthy habits as quickly as possible.
One weekend will not ruin your progress.
One meal will not cause weight gain.
One indulgent day does not mean you've failed.
The women who successfully lose weight and keep it off long-term don't strive for perfection. They focus on consistency.
So if the weekend didn't go to plan, don't start over on Monday.
Simply continue.
✅ Eat your usual breakfast
✅ Prioritise protein
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Go for a walk
✅ Get back to your routine
Fat loss for Parents over 30 isn't about being perfect. It's about building habits that fit real life.
