We base our Game Week Captain on the behaviours the boys show in training and in matches. It’s about creating a strong team bond, demonstrating respect to others, and maintaining a positive outlook win, lose or draw as it’s part of the game.

Luckily we could pick from anyone of the boys in the team but these boys have done so well since this block began. Well done boys keep working hard, set your own standards! 🔴⚪️⚽️

Some lovely football on show from the Wee Rovers this morning! The tough games keep coming and the boys showed some of their best today. Some outstanding individual performances but mainly as a coaching team so proud of the team performance!

Thanks to the Grangemouth 2017s. All the best for the rest of the season.

League started again today. Cambu 2017s getting back into their stride against a strong Dunblane 2017s. Some lovely football on show and some cracking goals for both sides. The woodwork took one hell of beating today 😂😂. Thanks to Dunblane 2017s for the match and best of luck for the remainder of the block.

Cambu 2017s kicked off their pre‑season with a strong showing at the Billy Gilmour Festival, taking on high‑quality opposition and reaching the semi‑finals. A brilliant effort from the boys, with plenty of valuable learnings for players and coaches as preparations continue for the league restart in August. Well done to everyone involved. 🔴⚪️⚽️

ROVERS PARK TO BE RE-NAMED

Cambusbarron Rovers are delighted to announce that our home ground known as Mill Road Park is to be re-named ‘FLETCHER PARK’ in recognition of the incredible contribution Duncan and Hunter Fletcher have made over many years to the Rovers but also to the local community and around the Stirling area through the family run business FES Ltd

The Rovers committee with the backing of Cambusbarron Community Council bestowed this honour formally at a naming ceremony on Thursday 9th July at the park.

Fittingly a new sign has been erected at the ground entrance which will be a new focal point on match days and rightly ensure that the Fletcher family legacy will remain forever woven into the fabric of this football club and the village of Cambusbarron.

Chairman, Iain Campbell said.
“The unique relationship that FES has with the Rovers, we felt had to be marked in some way. This season will incredibly be the 49th year of continuous sponsorship, easily making it the longest running sponsorship arrangement in Scottish football. We could never thank Duncan and Hunter enough for what they have done for this club but this is a fitting and permanent reminder of that relationship.”

Rovers long time Secretary Gary Grahamslaw said “The FES support of the kids teams as well as the senior amateur side has been and will continue to be of immense help in the running of the club. Next Thursday is an opportunity for Cambusbarron residents as well as the Rovers supporters to say thanks to Duncan and Hunter with this permanent marking of an incredible legacy.”

A very busy weekend for Cambusbarron 2017s, rounding things off with our final league game of this block. A big well done — and thank you — to all the teams we’ve faced over the past few months. Best of luck to everyone heading into the next block.

We also took on another Pre‑Academy side, with the boys pushing themselves, showing their qualities, whilst working hard to improve their own game against a quality side. They continue to prove that we’re a strong, competitive group who love a challenge and never shy away from testing ourselves.

Finally, we played at the Pitreavie Festival today. Plenty of talent on show across all the pitches, with every team capable of taking goals off each other. Exactly the kind of competitive environment the boys need to develop and push themselves.

A big thank you to Pitreavie for organising and hosting such a well‑run event. The boys loved it and came away buzzing from the experience.

Now for a well earned rest!!! 🔴⚪️⚽️
