Sunday was an away trip to Dunipace on another beautiful morning. It was a really tough game for the girls due to the heat and a lack of any subs on the bench. Every girl on that pitch gave everything with some tough tackling and constant running but unfortunately it wasn't to be. We competed incredibly well throughout and went in at half time level but it was the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half where the legs seemed to go for us.

Everyone played their part during the game and player of the day could have gone to any of them but this time it went to Lexi who was asked to play a couple of positions during the match due to her work rate and also grabbed our only goal.

Our thanks to Dunipace for hosting us today and all the best for the rest of the season 👍

This morning saw us make the trip up to Dunblane on a wonderful sunny day. We had a fast start with Ava R catching Dunblane off guard and setting Lexi free through the middle to fire home after 3 minutes. Lexi then turned provider as Cassie put us 2 up at about the 12 minute mark. Dunblane were very resilient and penned us back which led to some great chances that they unfortunately couldn't put away. Darcy was also working really hard in the goals to keep Dunblane out making some great saves and playing sweeper keeper at times.

The 2nd half was more of the same with Dunblane pushing to find their way back into the game. It was an enormous effort by both sets of players which provided end to end action. Fortunately for us our defence stayed strong and then some great work by Ava C set Cassie up for her 2nd of the day. An inspired substitution in the last few minutes saw Ava R earn her lift home as she fired the ball in for goal no.4. Player of the day was Niamh who has worked really hard over the last few games and she put in a commanding performance today up and down our left hand side.

So today has been a bit special for a few reasons.

Firstly, the game today that saw us come away with another win which is testament to how far this group has come on over the last few seasons and marks our 3rd win in a row.

Secondly, thanks to our goalkeeper Darcy, there was cake for all at the end of the game which I believe has started a new 'Darcy's cake of the week' segment that we will all be looking forward to 😂

And last but by no means least, today's Player of Match Evie, is off to Hibs. While we are really sad to see her go, we know she's going to do brilliantly. She will be greatly missed by everyone at Stenny, and we wish her all the best for the future.

Firstly, our thanks to Milton for making the journey for today's match. The first half was closely contested, with both squads vying for dominance. Nevertheless, just prior to the break, Lexi sent a pass through for Ava R, who remained composed and finished superbly.
As the second half commenced, the dynamic largely persisted, with opportunities arising at both ends and both goalkeepers performing really well. A quick three-minutes from Stenny though, put the game out of reach, with Evie grabbing 2 and Cassie rounding it off. We wish Milton all the best for the rest of the season.

Another great game of football this morning against Cowie. Compared to last week we were off to a flyer with Evie putting the ball in the net after just 4 minutes. We had to endure some good pressure from Cowie which brought some great 1v1 saves from Darcy to keep our lead intact. Some good pressing from Evie then set Cassie up for our 2nd.
Into the 2nd half and we had to soak up Cowie pressure once again with our defence holding firm and Darcy once again being called into action to keep our lead secure. All of a sudden a great pass from Ava C sent Amy through on the right to put the ball in the net. Again Cowie didn't stop and kept pushing to find a goal but it was a pass from Amelie that set Evie free that killed the game off with a few minutes to spare. Thanks to Cowie for hosting us and all the best for the rest of the season.
