Phew, what a scorcher it’s been this week! Our members coped really well doing some more shady ( in the best sense of the word!) activities than usual this week and catching up with mowing when the weather cooled down. Here’s some photos showing what they got up to.

Two lovely reviews from one of our most longstanding customers. Thank you!

Bakeability bread

“Every week since 2023 we have had a large granary loaf delivered to our door.
For us it is not only the quality and level of consistancy of the bread itself which is excellent, it is meeting and exchanging greetings with the delivery team on our doorstep. It is rewarding to know that behind the scenes this loaf has been made by Stepping Out Members over a couple of days. The weighing of ingredients and the kneading, the baking, the writing on the carrier bag my name and price - so carefully written - the cash handling and hand delivered with smiles by Members and Driver to our home.

Thank you for this reliable service and for the consistent good quality of the bread. We really do appreciate all you do to make this happen, and our dogs looks forward to the pats they are given on a weekly basis!”

Bakeability catering

“Thank you Bakeabiity very much for easing my decision making over a recent family gathering celebrating our wedding anniversary. You provided such lovely tasty fayre, on time and presented very well. We choses Lasagnas and quiches as well as cakes - carrot cake being outstandingly good - all delicious and all Homemade and that’s what made it so special.”

A lovely review from one of our cafe customers and supporters.

We enjoy going to the Cafe- it has become a community meeting place. Also the food is excellent quality and the portions are generous. Seeing the young adults make progress has been good to see -under the guidance of Sue and her staff.
This wonderful project started and led by Justin and Sue is an invaluable asset and provides the young people with ongoing training for the future.

Update: Thanks to those who donated and bought food at the cafe yesterday. We raised £200 to donate to the Southfield Neurological Fund.

The Bakeability Cafe this week will be donating its profits to The Southfield Hospital Charity ( Neurological Research Fund) in memory of one of our members’ school peers who sadly died recently. We will also have a collection bucket for donations.

Bawdrip Parish Hall 12.00-2.30 ( last orders 2.00pm).

Advance notice - there will be no cafe on Thursday 14th May as this is the week that the cess pool is being installed. One step closer to an accessible indoor loo! ☺️

This week, May 8th at the Bakeability Cafe.
