🆚 Dolgellau

Really tough game for the boys tonight away to Dolgellau. Conceding early on from a corner against a really good defensive side, it was really hard to get one back for the boys. James managed to equalise not long before half time with a shot from inside the box.

Second half was the same as the first, Dolgellau are a really difficult team to break down with the boys having loads of chances. Eddie getting the goal he deserved after loads of chances putting us ahead, with Charlie following up pretty quick.

Like I said, great team effort and big well done to Alfie for stepping up and filling in as center back, rock solid performance from him tonight.

Well done to the under 8s who played in the pouring rain in Bethesda yesterday!

Some great football as always by both of our teams, and we came away with some fantastic wins, as well as some really valuable experience playing against some new and very good teams.

Cracking goals from Harri, Eban, Llifon, Lloyd and Carter — and some amazing saves and defending throughout the games too!

Well done everyone — you should all be really proud of yourselves!

U13’S CYNGHRAIR PÊL DROED IEUENCTID GWYNEDD:

🆚 Blaenau Ffestiniog

A nice warm welcome in Blaenau this morning the sun was shining and it was hot……😂 quite the opposite we have never seen like it but clearly the Blaenau boys are acclimatised to it and used to playing in a Monsoon! 😂

George opened the score line with a lovely goal taking us 1-0 up. Blaenau went on to get 3 back in the first half with rain clearly on their side!

Second half the Dyffryn boys started strong with Harri Stevens closing the gap 3-2.
The goals then kept coming thick and fast! We ended a very wet and nervous game on top with a final score of 7-3. Well done to both group of lads playing in that this morning.

U12’S CYNGHRAIR PÊL DROED IEUENCTID GWYNEDD:

🆚 Talysarn Celts

The u12s hosted their 1st game of the season at King George V field - the weather was terrible but some of the football and character on show was stellar

We begun against a very strong wind and Talysarn attack and went 0-1 up after a deflected strike and other quickly followed to make it 0-2 to the visitors.

The team regrouped and played some really good football despite the conditions with Chase going close twice, Korey covering and tackling superbly and defence improving and winning duels - we nearly held on to the two goal deficit but conceded an unfortunate own goal before half time

2nd half we had the wind and after Korey scored very early on, the momentum. The team began attacking in numbers and got plenty of shots and freekicks that went close.

Milo closed the gap to 1 with a good strike with the whole team pushing hard for an equaliser - it finally came from an unexpected source with Cai sending a good kick up top which bounced over the Talysarn keeper into net where the team celebrated - Cai saved late on and the boys pushed for a winner but settled for a draw.

CPD Dyffryn & Tal y Bont are looking for referees to officiate our competitive youth fixtures throughout the 2026/27 season.

Whether you’re an experienced referee or completely new to refereeing but have a basic knowledge of the game and are interested, we’d love to hear from you.

We can offer support through our fantastic group of coaches and FAW courses, which we’ll subsidise.

A DBS check will be required for all referees working with our youth teams.

What a game of football!!

It’s one of them games you had to of been there. Both teams worked extremely hard and Port played some amazing football at times, but our lads gave as good as they got and the whole game was end to end.
Every single one of the boys worked to the max, they gave everything but it wasn’t meant to be.

Well done boys we are all proud of you 👏🏻

Our Years 3-6 Girls need a coach/volunteer to continue their sessions. Each week, around 20 children attend these sessions to have fun playing football, learn new skills and make new friends.
