🌗 The Last Quarter Moon — what are you ready to stop carrying?

Today is the Last Quarter Moon phase. It comes approximately half way between a Full Moon and a New Moon.

There’s something about this phase of the Moon that I love.

The Last Quarter Moon invites you to pause, reflect and let go.

Not because there’s something wrong with us that needs fixing.

But because sometimes we simply realise that something we’ve been carrying no longer serves us.

Maybe it’s an expectation of who you 'should' be.

Someone else’s opinion of your life.

A role you’ve outgrown.

That habit you have of putting everyone else first.

A fear that has been holding you back.

The people pleaser in you.

Or perhaps it’s an old version of yourself that you’re finally ready to leave behind. You're ready to climb into a bigger box.

So, as the Moon wanes, take a little time for yourself and ask:

What am I ready to release?

What am I ready to stop carrying?

Who might I be if I gave myself permission?

Sometimes simply acknowledging what no longer feels right is the beginning of the change you crave.

And perhaps letting go isn't about becoming someone new…

Perhaps it's about making the freedom to find your way back to you đź’ś

🦋 You know, you ARE allowed to be you 🦋

You are absolutely allowed to change your mind.

You’re allowed to want something different from life.

You’re allowed to say no when it protects you.

You’re allowed to say yes if you’re excited to.

You’re allowed to have dreams that other people don’t understand.

You’re allowed to take up space.

You’re allowed to stop doing things simply because you’ve always done them.

You’re allowed to disappoint people if you know you’re doing the right thing for you.

You’re allowed to outgrow relationships, situations and versions of yourself.

You’re allowed to have fun in life.

You’re allowed to be interested in things that make you happy.

You’re allowed to be a little bit weird. Ok, a lot weird!

You’re allowed to stop measuring yourself by what everyone else thinks.

And you’re allowed to find out who you are when you stop trying to be who you think you should be for others.

Maybe freedom isn’t about being brave.

Maybe it’s about deciding that being yourself is worth the risk.

You are allowed to be the beautifully imperfect version of you.

And honestly?

The world needs more people who are.

What if finding yourself isn’t about becoming someone new?

I’ve been at a Hoppings/Fair today in a small village where community seems such a big part of life.

I’ve been people watching and everyone pretty much seems to know each other. They get involved with things. They support each other. They belong to the community.

And it made me think about how much our environment can influence how we feel about ourselves.

When you’re surrounded by people who accept you, encourage you and allow you to be yourself, it becomes much easier to stop worrying about who you should be, stop worrying about what you’re expected to be.

Maybe, finding freedom to be you isn’t about standing completely on your own.

Maybe it’s about finding the people and places where you don’t have to pretend in the first place.

It matters who you surround yourself with. Your connections to others matter. And so does the space you create for yourself in your community, where you can be supported just as you are.

You don’t need to become somebody new.

Maybe you’ve spent years thinking you need to improve yourself. Be more of something else?

Be more confident.

Be more successful.

Be more organised.

Be a better Mum, wife, daughter…

You’ve started with the whens. I’ll be happier when….. I’ll do that when….. I’ll be better at x when…

But what if you don’t actually need to become someone new?

What if you just need to reconnect with you?

The part of you that knows what feels right.

The part that gets excited about things.

The part that has dreams.

The part that has opinions.

The part that says, “Actually… this isn’t working for me anymore” and has the courage to walk away.

Maybe that version of you is still there.

Maybe it’s just been drowned out by expectations, responsibilities, other people’s opinions, life!

Start to realise you’re not broken and don’t need fixing.

You might simply need some space to hear yourself again.

And from there?

You can start noticing your beliefs and taking action that feel like you.

That’s where real change begins.

By not becoming someone else.

But by becoming more YOU.

🦋 How much of your life is actually you? How much of who you are feels like your own choice?

🦋 And how much is the version of you that you've created to keep everyone else happy?

🦋 I have been where you are not that long ago.

🧡 This used to be me:

The one who says yes when you really mean no.

The one who stays quiet rather than rocking the boat.

The one who does what is and always has been expected.
The one who puts others first.

The one who doesn't know what she actually wants to be because she's been so busy being who everyone else says she should be.

🦋 But I'm different now. And you can get to where I am now.

🦋 Finding your way back to who you are doesn't mean suddenly changing everything about your life.

🦋 It starts with something much smaller.

🦋 Listening to that nagging little voice inside that says there has to be more.

🦋 With gratitude, admitting what you really want isn't what you have.

🦋 Setting a boundaries, even if it upsets people (because they're used to you dropping everything and doing what they want).

🦋 Doing something just because you enjoy it and it fills your cup.

🧡 Trusting your own intuition.

🧡 Giving yourself permission to be a little bit more YOU, one step at a time.

Finding the Freedom to Be You isn't always about changing your circumstances.

Sometimes it's about finally giving yourself permission to be the person you've been underneath it all along and do what serves you best.

🧡Finding the Freedom to Be You.🧡
That's what I want to help people discover.
