Maker’s Market family entertainment
Our Makers’ Market and Food Festival returns on the 9th and 10th May and we can’t wait! We’ve already announced the amazing array of food businesses who will be exhibiting with us but what is there to do for little ones?
Once they’re done sampling all the food (pick ‘n’ mix, cookies and ice-cream sugar highs anyone?!), children can get their faces painted or a glitter tattoo for free! We also have a hobby horse course from Hobby Horse Starz as seen at Burghley Horse Trials 2025. Children can have a go at the course with a provided hobby horse or without, jumping a course of show jumps at a height they feel comfortable with. Suitable from toddlers to teens. Fancy something a little more relaxed? Why not pop along to the Old Dairy and join a storytelling session led by ‘Standing in the Wings’? Finally, Jack Astbury, a local woodworker, will also be allowing children to have a go at using traditional tools under his expert guidance.
All activities are completely free with no extra costs involved once you’ve paid entry (£5 for adults, free for under 16s).
We also have an array of pocket money treats, toys and books in our gift shop.
An affordable family day out!
