The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials 2023 The first prize at the Defender Burghley Horse Trials (31 August-3 September 2023 Burghley is both an equestrian sporting event and a social event.

The competition is called a Three-Day-Event with three stages taking place, rather confusingly, over four days: Dressage on Thursday and Friday, Cross Country on Saturday and Show Jumping on Sunday. It is a comprehensive test of all-round horsemanship, and involves almost every activity of which the horse is capable. Land Rover has a longstanding history with Burghley, beginning in the early 1990s as the Official Vehicle Supplier and became Title Sponsor in 2005. Carl Hester joined Land Rover as an Equestrian Ambassador in 2019.
This year Land Rover will be showcasing their brand-new Defender, the toughest and most capable Land Rover ever. Visit them at this year’s Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials from 1 – 4 September.

The Land Rover Experience is back again in 2022 and the Land Rover Defender is the toughest and most capable Land Rover ever.
