Last Sunday we had a visit from the 1st Burntwood Beavers (1st Burntwood Scouts) for a taster day. A great day of fun and laughter with a barbecue to keep everyone well feed. Thank you for coming to visit.

We are very sad to let all our members, friends and followers know about the recent death of Will Morgan - sailor, cyclist, accomplished musician and simply an all round good guy and a great loss. He was always willing to help. Over many years Will had been integral to celebrations at the club - performing with his band, the Elderly Brothers.

Details of the funeral have not been confirmed yet. We will let you know when we are able to.

Last night we had a wonderful presentation evening and meal at the clubhouse - making the most of our newly renovated Galley. A fabulous evening catching up with everyone. Congratulations to all our winners. Thank you to our commodore Lloyd Spindler for such an excellent and entertaining prize giving presentation. We would like to say thank you to Sailing Chandlery chandlers Arthur Beale Yacht Chandlers and for donating some fab prizes for our raffle - raising money for a renovation of our changing rooms now that we have a fabulous galley.

Tomorrow is the first sailing Sunday of the season. There will be bacon butties so come along to sail or just for a catch up

Ta-dah!! We are so pleased to be able to show off our renovated Galley. It looks amazing. All the work to do this has been done by members and what an incredible job they have done. Special thanks go to Lyndon Beasley, Andy Cox, John Trumpeter, Ian Cooper, Keith Kimberley, Lloyd Spindler, Nikki Taylor, Terry and Lucy Williamson, and also all the hours Gill Cooper spent in B&Q sorting design and purchase.

Well done everyone 👏👏👏 Thank you all.

This project has been made possible by the grant from West Midlands Interchange Community Fund, distributed by South Staffordshire District Council.

Just to remind everyone how much better this looks there are some before photos too.

The water at Greensforge looked beautiful today. A few hardy people braved the cold for a final sail of the year. The final task of the season is to bring the bouy’s in so they can be cleaned and renovated ready for next season - thanks Lyndon and Ian with help from Terry and Lucy on the bank.
