This week we are meeting our coaches and asking them 5 questions so we can find out more about them 😀
First up...
1. What's your go-to workout when you need to blow off steam?
A Saturday team WOD with the FXT members. This class never fails to put a smile on my face seeing loads of our members working out together 🧡 The perfect mix of working hard and socialisation.
2. If you could give one piece of fitness advice that you swear by, what would it be?
It’s all about balance! Fitness is a huge hobby of mine as well as my career, but whilst setting exciting goals, it’s important not to lose sight of day to day life, family, and friends. Nutrition is key for achieving goals, but coffee and cake out with friends shouldn’t be banned!
3. What’s the best part of your day at FXT?
Coaching an early morning workout, helping our members achieve so much before a lot of people are even awake!
4. What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?
Before discovering functional fitness and Hyrox, I competed in athletics specialising in pole vault!
5. Who’s your fitness icon or role model, and why?
My family! My dad has always been active and sporty. He regularly tells me stories of his competitive cycling and running days and stories from the gym he used to go to and the workouts he used to do! These inspire me to push myself to achieve my goals and make myself and my family proud!
