The team is managed, and led by UEFA Coach James Nation.

Time to say good luck, not good bye...

Today was bittersweet for me. Today marked Ted's last game in a Rangers shirt. I have coached Ted since 4 years old when he joined us at Stafford Soccer School Ltd. This lad went straight into my u7s and the rest is history. Ted has never once complained. Never once moaned. He is one of the kindest and most well-mannered young men I have ever coached. I will miss coaching him. I will miss picking up his gloves or coat after EVERY game! I will miss his attempts at a bicycle kick EVERY training session. I will miss ringing his Dad to say "I have Ted's bottle!" 🤣

It has been an honour to coach you mate and a privilege that your parents trusted me. We have made so many memories together as a team. Ones which we will all cherish forever.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your new team, and I look forward to hearing about how you are getting on. They are lucky to have you.

Your football family will miss you Simmo. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger 🖤🤍💛

⚫️⚪️ PPotM- No.11 Alex, No.7 Harys, & No.6 Frank 🏆🏆🏆
A three-way tie for parents this morning. Two goals from Alex, one from Harys, and a very versatile performance from Frank saw the trio get equal votes. Alex showing his flare down the wings yet again, and strength to the leftside of midfield. Harys, arguably his best performance of the season caused all sorts of problems for their defence today. His hold up play in particular was excellent at times. And then there is Frank. Always reliable. Causing havoc down the right and nearly scoring, then tenacious and strong in his tackles. His never say die attitude was a joy to watch. Extremely proud of you boys 👏👏👏

⚫️⚪️ MPotM- No.1 Dexter🏆
In a game where key moments mattered, this mountain of a lad stepped up. From kicking to blocking, in recent weeks Dexter has started to really showed his capability between the sticks. At 2-1 today, when the opposition looked like they were getting g a foothold in the match, Dexter pulled off a superb 1v1 saves to deny their striker. Then, in a flash, produced a superb pass which started a quick counter and our third goal. He dealt with pressure today and fully deserved the MotM trophy. Our No.1 👏

Way to end the season in style! A complete team performance from start to finish from my u10s this morning 🔥 The boys were incredible. The team pressed with such intensity and commitment; forcing mistake after mistake from the oppositions defence. It was a real masterclass at times in regards to team spirit and trust. We were extremely calm under pressure- moving the ball cleverly and quickly. Trusting each others decisions, and predicting danger and opportunities when it mattered. For months we have focused on building. Building goal scoring opportunities sensibly. Understanding when to play the clear and obvious passes, and when to continue building possession. Possession with purpose shone through today.

What a phenominal season these boys have had. And the scary thing is, they are only 9 & 10 years old. Plenty more to come from this special group of players 💥🖤🤍👏

⚫️⚪️ MPotM- No.2 Jude🏆

In a game where we really didn't show up today, these two battled from start to finish. The team are allowed to make mistakes, and every weekend might not be as glorious as the last. But a coach will find moments of brilliance, moments of grit and passion, and moments of determination. Jude and George were a shining example of that today. It was great to see Jude back from injury and straight in where he left off. George, playing more of a central role of late, again ran his socks off in midfield for possession. Well done boys 👌👏

🏆 APRIL PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🏆

NO.5 TED

A solid month of training and game time from our no.5 this month. Ted has always taken pride in making sure his basics are A1. However, his new found aggression pressing from a no.9 position has been great to watch. Ted will quite happily drop deeper to find the ball and loves a little 1-2 with teammates to create something special or kick-start an attack. So good to see his confidence and self-belief shine. I wanted to try and draw out a different side to Alex's game today, so I played him more central in midfield and asked him to bring a different element to his attack- straight down the middle. His presence was felt and between him and Teddy H, the midfield looked strong. Winning so many balls from opposition goal kicks that I lost count, his first response was to go forward. He bagged himself two great goals down the middle and fully deserved his trophy. Well done young man 👌👏

If you are going to ask your team for a match winning performance, then you need all your players to be doing the basics right. Harys had a great game today. Playing effective passes and winning his individual battles. I always bang on about making sure your 'bread & butter' are on point. Well, you were today Mr S 👌👏

Ahhh these boys...

I asked for 3 things this morning:

1. Start positively and build with purpose
2. Have a forward thinking attitude throughout
3. Set the tempo and press hard from the first whistle

DELIVERED, DELIVERED, DELIVERED!!!

These young men were OUTSTANDING! I could not fault their attitude and commitment towards each other. This team has always been complemented on their passing game; moving the ball quickly and safely. And today was a masterclass at times. From the goalkeeper to our no.9, each player had the desire to create space and create opportunities for one another. The play just flowed and our 3 superb team goals all came from teamwork, understanding, and communication.

The lads fully deserved their plaudits after today. Their performances over recent weeks have deserved something, but have sadly just fell short. Well, not today. Proud, positive and united, they got the result they fully deserved 👏🙏🙌
