This is the mentality we want to build. Captain lead team talks. Responsibility. Togetherness. The boys came second today in their first tournament together.

Some wonderful football played this morning. With some absolutely superb goals to choose from. However, it was the willingness to fight which I was most impressed with. Fight for every ball, every scrap, every opportunity.

This season is about changing behaviours and creating good habits. Our 1st non-negotiable was evident today and the boys have laid a very strong foundation to build on this summer.

Here's to the new Stafford Rangers Juniors SJL FC. ⚡️⚫️⚪️🟡

Thank You Coach

After two memorable seasons in charge, we’d like to say a huge thank you for everything you have done for the team.

There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but through it all you have given your time, commitment, and passion to help the lads develop both as footballers and as young people. Your hard work, encouragement, and belief in the boys have played a massive part in their journey, helping them grow into better players and creating memories that will last for years to come.

As the team now moves forward under a new coach, we want to express our sincere appreciation for everything you have contributed over the last two seasons. The impact you have had on the players will not be forgotten.

We wish you the very best of luck with your new team next season. We have no doubt you will continue to make a positive difference wherever you go. Football is a small world, and we’re sure our paths will cross many times throughout the coming seasons.

Thank you for everything, Coach. We wish you every success in the future. ⚽👏💙

This next award gives the boys an opportunity to have their say and choose the person they feel has been the most positive and well-behaved supporter throughout the season.

Disclaimer you have all been amazing

It's an award they definitely enjoyed voting for whilst having a bit of fun with.

The Players' Spectator of the Year Award goes to Richard Bennett.

Congratulations, Richard and thank you for your fantastic support throughout the season.

All of the parents have been fantastic this season. The support, encouragement and commitment you have shown to both the boys and myself have been unwavering from start to finish. It has made a huge difference and we are all incredibly grateful for everything they have done.

Congratulations to Alex on winning the Overall Contribution Award.

This is a brand new award for this season, designed to recognise a player's impact across every aspect of the game. It takes into account everything from Referee's Player of the Match awards to the less glamorous but equally important contributions, such as recovery runs and all the hard work that often goes unnoticed. Ironically, it's the perfect award for Alex, as he loves a good stat!

There are countless reasons why Alex is a deserving winner, but I'll highlight just a few.

Alex is an incredibly positive individual who loves to talk and that's a quality that benefits the team enormously. His communication on the pitch is outstanding, constantly guiding, organising and encouraging those around him. Whether things are going well or the team needs a lift, his voice is always there to help drive standards and keep spirits high.

His energy levels are equally impressive. Time and time again, you'll see him charging up and down both wings, contributing in both attacking and defensive phases of the game. He makes it look effortless, although I can honestly say he makes me tired just watching him!
His work rate, attitude and all-round contribution have not gone unnoticed.

Opposition managers, referees and spectators alike have recognised the impact he has on games throughout the season and those qualities have played a huge part in him becoming the first recipient of this new award.

A thoroughly deserving winner, congratulations Alex on a fantastic season.

Congratulations to George Simms on being named this year's Manager's Player of the Season.

Day to day, George is a well mannered young man who can sometimes come across as shy. Don't let that fool you though. As soon as he put on thst Rangers shirt at the weekend, he transforms into the target man every strike force dreams of having.

His pressing is relentless, full of energy and determination. The things he can do with the ball at his feet are mesmerising. George is the kind of striker who, when his team's back is against the wall, can produce a moment of pure magic that takes your breath away and completely changes the course of a game.
What truly sets him apart is his selflessness.

He is the perfect example of putting performance before personal glory. On many occasions, another striker would have pulled the trigger without hesitation, but George takes the time to assess his options and chooses what is best for the team rather than what might add to his own tally.

That said, when he does decide to have a go, there's no doubt he knows exactly where the back of the net is.

A worthy winner and a fantastic role model, George has thoroughly earned this recognition. Congratulations once again on a superb season.

in pouring rain and tough conditions, the lads put in a tremendous shift from first whistle to last. With no substitutes available, every single player dug deep and worked tirelessly for the badge, showing real character and togetherness throughout.

Despite controlling large spells of the game and creating the better chances, we were hit with a late equaliser that saw the points shared at full-time. On another day, we take all three — the effort and commitment deserved nothing less.

What stood out most was the attitude. No complaints, no excuses, just hard work and determination in difficult conditions. The boys came off with smiles on their faces, proud of the performance and the way they stuck together.

A battling display and plenty to build on going forward. 💪⚽
