Here is a picture of a finished outer chaincase. They look like Norton Commando but I make the patterns and have had them cast specially for the Tornado!

There are also ones made to fit a Triton. The engine and gearbox are 2’’ further apart and they fill up the Norton frame.

Here is a picture of the primary drive, clutch and alternator.

First, the frame was completed in readiness to accept to Molnar Manx 500cc engine and 5 speed gearbox.

Next to be added was the swinging arm, closely followed by wm2 and wm3 x 18ins flanged aluminium wheel rims , complete with 4 x leading shoe Fontana front brakes, with the addition of the hand made steel exhaust system by Holdens -of -Lincolnshire.

Keep visiting to follow all further developments.

Another annual Carole Nash Stafford Classic Bike Show has ended. It was another very busy show despite Sunday's appalling weather. Lots of interest was shown in our bikes, by the many show visitors, with many questions answered especially of our flagship model the Tornado.

For those Francophiles out there, you may want to get hold of the March issue of French magazine, Motolegende. The Magazine features the Tonkin Tornado on the front cover, together with an in-depth 10 page article upon the bike, and follows a long line of similar articles upon the bike in magazines right across Europe and the UK. Back copies can be obtained from the web site www.motolegende.fr
