One needs a bigger engine.

One needs more strength.

Yet most people end up following the same training plan.

That’s one of the biggest mistakes I see athletes make.

Before you can improve performance, you need to identify the bottleneck.

Running.

Hard? Yes.

Structured? Usually not.

Most Hyrox training looks good on paper.

It’s hard.
It’s sweaty.
It feels like you’re working.

But that doesn’t mean it’s actually improving your performance.

If you’re throwing everything into one session. Running, sleds, conditioning, circuits, you’re probably just getting tired… not better.

Why though Ross?

It’s because you’re not targeting anything specifically.

If your engine is the issue → it doesn’t fix it.
If your strength is the issue → it doesn’t fix it.
If your pacing is the issue → it doesn’t fix it.

You’re just training everything at once and hoping it works.

That’s why most people stay stuck.

Engine.

Skill.

One of those is limiting you right now.

What a weekend! Cardiff you were unbelievable 🫶🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Team RP have been working towards this one for a WHILE and we knew it would be big!

and her partner with a new PB! 🔥

and Leah smashing the sub 80 barrier in the women’s doubles! 🧡

making his pro debut and getting the sub 80 too! 😵

And absolutely sending it with me in the mixed dubs and grabbing the 1:15 on her first Hyrox! 💪🏻

Honestly an insane weekend! Love seeing everyone’s hard work paying off. It makes the job worth it.

Off season coming up now, the hard work has not even started. The standard of Hyrox continues to rise every week at the moment, the work ethic of all the athletes is incredible to see!
