Congratulations to the three ladies who have undergone a gruelling coaching training course and been successful in now being able to offer coaching to new and existing bowlers alike.

We now have a few members who are qualified coaches so we look forward to seeing the standard of bowls improving year on year.

Of course, the main raison d'etre for our club is to offer a gentle sport to people of all ages and abilities to enjoy without the pressure of playing at "semi pro" levels. However, with the offer of training available the choice is yours.

Winners of the 2026 Helen Clouston trophy. This trophy is played for annually. The teams are selected at random and each team plays 3 sets of 6 ends against different teams on different rinks. The winners of each set score 2 points plus the number of shots in excess of the opposition. It is played in a sociable manner as part of our weekend club competitions open to all paid up club player members. Congratulations.
