Our aim is to attract the brightest and best student golfers to the Home of Golf, where they can pursue their golfing ambitions to the highest level whilst simultaneously studying for a degree at one of the finest academic institutions in the world. Our squad consists of competitive Men’s and Ladies teams with a roster that covers the globe, all of whom covet the chance to further their golfing education on the fabled Links of the Auld Grey Toon. We compete domestically in the UK through the BUCS League and Championship as well as worldwide – in the past two years members of the squad have represented Saints Golf in Sweden, Slovenia, South Africa, Peru and across the USA with 2013 seeing visits to Florida, Texas and Colorado. Performance is at the core of our programme and we strive to produce victories in everything we play – to enhance the players performance we are fortunate to be able to draw on two key elements, our courses and our facilities. The players all have Links Tickets, meaning they have full access 365 days per year to all 7 courses at the Links – yes that includes the Old Course! Learning the intricacies of playing these great courses in our unique weather conditions gives Saints players unparalleled experiences that further their ability. Off the course the players have full access to the St Andrews Links Golf Academy, one of the finest practice facilities in the world that sits adjacent to the 16th fairway on the Old Course. We look at our golfers as athletes, they are involved in an intensive strength and conditioning programme run by some of the finest professionals in their field. Players are given individualised programmes comprising strength training, quality of movement, stability and rehabilitation.
