Spalding Lankans CC produced a dominant allround performance to defeat Lincolnshire Lions CC by 6 wickets at Belvoir Cricket Club, Grantham.

Despite skipper losing the toss for the 101st consecutive time, Spalding Lankans once again showed that the toss mattered little.

After losing the toss, Spalding Lankans restricted Lincolnshire Lions to just 88 all out in 23 overs. Kelum led the bowling attack with brilliant figures of 3/9, while Nerujan provided excellent support, claiming 3/27. Isuru top scored for the Lions with 35, while Asanka added 19.

In reply, Spalding Lankans chased the target in emphatic fashion, reaching 89/4 in just 10 overs. Hansana anchored the innings with an unbeaten 47 notout from just 25 balls while Eranda contributed a valuable 18. Despite Amila’s 2/13, the chase was completed comfortably to seal an impressive victory.

A complete team performance with disciplined bowling and aggressive batting. Well played, boys
