PC Novice National Champions!!🤩🥳

So incredibly proud of Flo this week at the PC National Championships for her first national championship🥰 After coming off the lorry Monday evening a little starstruck with how big and busy the event was, she behaved impeccably and produced 4 beautiful tests✨

Tuesday Novice - 72.2% and 2nd/40 in section so through to the ride off! An amazing 72.3% test to win the whole championship by over 2%😱🤩 The really busy atmosphere of the afternoon didn’t phase her at all and I really couldn’t be prouder of her for the ride off test, she was foot perfect♥️
AND Team 5th/ over 40!!! 🥂

Wednesday Intermediate - A busy test that comes up quickly but wow what an improvement from the last time we tried it at spring festival. Another amazing 72.8% to win our section by over 3%!!!🥳
Through to the ride off again and she really tried her hardest but was just getting a little tired by this point, can we blame her! Still a lovely 68.6% to finish 8th 🎉
And another team placing!! 6th!! Out of over 30🍾

A really brilliant few days being back with the PC having not been to champs for a few years. Thank you to everyone for their support and kind words throughout and to the sponsors for the lovely prizes!✨

We’re off to the Area Festival National Final🥳

68.5% in our PSG Music😱 and 2nd place!!

Couldn’t be more pleased with Elsie at area festivals in the PSG and PSG music. A sweet first test just needing a little more energy in the straight to finish on 65.2%, can’t say we aren’t consistent this year!! A lovely joint 3rd and only missing out on qualifying by a tiny margin! 🥹
Our music test though was the highlight🤩 The best run through we have produced giving us a big personal best, all changes were correct and exactly on my aid (big improvement from recent) and we matched our music perfectly!!🎉 Top 2 so off to nationals we go🥳

Home nations 2026🥇🎉

A really lovely weekend with our BD Youth family at the Home Nations, with lots of successes and positives to take away!✨
Elsie was her usual fabulous self. She improved from day 1 to day 2 with two of the judges giving us a lovely % increase from one day to the next🥰 We finished on just under 66% on both days with one judge awarding us over 67% on day 2!! The feeling she is giving me in the tests has improved so much, she’s so much softer and calmer through her body, especially in the trot work with us trending on around 68/69%!🫶🏻
Annoyingly one of her usual favourite movements, her 3s, were not her highlight this week🤣 However, it was good practice for area festivals in 2 weeks so onwards to that!!
Compared to Home Nations last year at this level, she has improved and strengthened so much, so I couldn’t be happier Much better scores compared to last year♥️

I couldn’t thank everyone enough for their support this weekend and really making it the best it could be. It was definitely my favourite home nations so far and I’ve been doing them since I was 13!! Such a fun weekend and we will look forwards to next year🥰

Summer regionals🤩

Super pleased with both horses at regionals over the weekend, both produced lovely tests with many highlights✨

Elsie was on the Friday in the AM silver. A little flat in the trot work but some of her best canter work in a test with our best serpentine and every change clean!!🙌🏻 We finished on a score of 68.2%, 5th and best u25 in a hot section, only 0.6% off qualifying🙈 Fingers crossed for a wildcard for her🤞🏻♥️

Flo was then on Sunday in a super hot Prelim Gold. We weren’t expecting to be placed with so many well known names in the class with some lovely horses BUT Flo exceeded all expectations and finished 5th!!! 70.67%, best u25 and a top 5 placing in the gold section, I couldn’t be prouder of her🥰 She has built in strength so much recently and felt so confident going round and a 4% improvement from the winter regionals really shows that off💜

A busy few weeks ahead with both ponies competing along with teaching and massaging clients’ horses in the evenings! ✨

Home nations 2026🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💜

Very pleased to see Elsie selected for another Youth Home Nations, competing for England and the N&E region!✨
We’ll be competing in the PSG class which has been added as an extra level this year which is super exciting, and means I can be part of a team again! It’s one of our favourite competitions of the year so we always look forward to it and the atmosphere it brings🤩
Although disappointed to see Flo not selected for her level with how she’s been going, we’ll keep working behind the scenes to get stronger and aim for it again next year♥️

Pc area dressage winners🎉
So pleased with Flo at our area dressage at the weekend, two really lovely tests with two brilliant scores!
Novice - 71.4%, individually 1st and team 1st🤩
Intermediate- 73% (😱), individually 1st and team 3rd!!
So, we have qualified for the pc national champs which will be Flo’s first proper national championship!! 🎉🎉
Her confidence in the tests has improved so much and she’s getting so much stronger, she’s such a lovely horse🥰
Thank you to everyone involved and around for such a brilliant day✨

Flo’s first sash🤩 Sheepgate tack & togs championships🎉

Super pleased with both ponies this weekend, they tried so hard in the heat and both produced some lovely tests!
Flo was a superstar in the prelim championship gaining 67.6% yesterday after going a little green but still won her section and 3rd overall. Today was even better for 70.9% and an overall win!! Meaning she won the championship🥳 she’s such a poppet in her tests🥰

Elsie was also very good on Saturday in her tests. A respectable 65.7% in the straight just with a couple of mistakes where she wasn’t quite on my aid. We then had another go at our freestyle for 66.6% with many 7.5s and 8s but two big mistakes, including elsie finding extended canter very exciting🙈, kept us from a higher score but we know it’s in there! Most definitely my favourite test to ride💥

Lots of training now ahead of the summer💪🏻
