Two very busy days back after a week away — and straight back into a space full of people lifting, learning, laughing, challenging themselves and getting stronger.

There’s something pretty special about watching people realise what they’re capable of.

Different ages.
Different abilities.
Different goals.
Different reasons for being here.

No egos. No expectations of where you should be.

Just an accessible, inclusive space where you can come as you are, learn to lift, build confidence and get stronger — in whatever way that means for you.

There’s so much passion in this little community, and seeing it grow brings me a ridiculous amount of joy.

Top Tips from our top gym baby’s: How to Squat 🏋️‍♀️

1. Range of motion matters. If you can go lower, go lower. If you can’t yet, work on it. Unless you’re on a rehab journey or have a genuine reason to limit your range, of course.
2. Go heavy enough. Don’t be afraid of the weight. Your body needs a reason to adapt.
3. Quality over quantity. Five beautiful squats are better than 20 that look like you’re trying to escape a swarm of bees.
4. Control the movement. Don’t just fall down and hope for the best. Own the way down, find your position and drive back up.
5. Your squat doesn’t need to look like everyone else’s. Different bodies, different limb lengths, different stances. Find what works for your anatomy.
6. Brace properly. Big breath, create tension and give your core something to do. No floppy spaghetti squats.
7. Train the squat, not your ego. Add weight when you’ve earned it, not because Kevin on Instagram is lifting more.
8. Rest between sets. You’re not doing cardio. If you’re lifting heavy, give yourself enough recovery to actually perform again.
9. Be consistent. One perfect squat session won’t change your life. Doing the basics over and over again might.
10. And most importantly: if it all gets a bit too much, have a little cry, get a cuddle and then try again. 👶😂

Training has officially begun… and apparently I’ve decided a normal walk isn’t enough anymore. 😂⛰️🎒

I’m training to climb Snowdon 3 times in one day, covering all 6 official paths, to raise £20,000 for The Phoenix Project and support our first 60 women who have experienced abuse.

So today the weighted backpack came out. 😅

This challenge is about more than one day on a mountain.

It’s about starting something I hope can grow far beyond us.

We’re starting locally in Westcliff-on-Sea but the dream is to take our projects nationwide one day… and maybe even further. 🌍

Because access to meaningful, long-term support shouldn’t depend on where you live or how much money you have.
