Dolly Peel 2-4 Velocity Times Inn

Not the result we wanted last week. First half we were really poor and not in the game at all. Second half was better but far too late to get going.
Denied a stonewall penalty. But overall we weren’t good enough. Chucky gave us some hope after scoring 2 but it wasn’t meant to be. Away in the cup tomorrow and looking for a much better performance.

Dolly Peel 7-1 Seyetz

Another good display from the lads this morning after starting well we found ourselves 1-0 down from a corner. We replied quickly though when Hansen nicked the ball before finishing into the bottom corner. Another 4 goals before half time with Hansen getting his second, Cally scoring 2 and Nying with one from outside the box saw us go in 5-1 up at half time.

Kept the ball really well for majority of the second half and Nying added a 6th with a controlled volley before Cally got the 7th and his hatrick with a composed finish 1 on 1 with their keeper.

Dolly peel 3-1 The Fountain

Lads started the first game of the season well. All over them from the off pressing together and creating good chances. We took the lead early on after good work from Chucky to give the ball to Hansen who then pulled it across for Nying to finish well. After the first 20 minutes we fell off a bit but seen it through til half time.

Second half we started brightly again but conceded an equaliser and looked a bit tired. Lads regrouped though and an unbelievable freekick from Scott from around 40 yards out off the post and in got us back ahead. The lads then looked full of energy again and about 2 minutes later went 3-1 up after Hansen pressed well to win the ball back. He then played to Chucky out wide who drove down the line and crossed for Hansen to finish off at the back post. Cally trying to claim the assist after it hit his knee on the way across. Good start to the season for the lads though and onto next week.

Dolly peel 2-2 Riverview

Last game before the season starts next week ended with a draw. Lads put in a shift after picking up a few injuries leaving us with no subs.

We went 1-0 up with a great strike from Seff outside the box but went in to half time 1-1.

Second half was open from both teams with the heat playing a factor. We went 2-1 down before Neil played Chucky through who scored from a tight angle with a tidy finish. With a few minutes to go Ken made a great block on the line to keep it 2-2 after their player rounded the keeper.

League starts next week with an away game against the fountain

Dolly peel 6-0 the novelist

Good run out for the lads this morning. Started brightly and played some good football. Lads were very good considering the weather and time since we last played.
We went into half time 5-0 up with 2 goals for Hansen. 2 from Chucky and a header from Sean.
Second half the game went a bit flat with the only goal being a penalty scored by Hansen to complete his hatrick.
Another friendly next week before we get our league season underway against the fountain
